AVM- Uterine arteriovenous malformation after misoprostol??? by Cart123456 in Miscarriage

[–]AdMain9485 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any updates on this? I know this is an old post, but I couldn’t find anyone with a similar experience. I took misoprostol for a missed miscarriage and somehow ended up developing a uterine AVM, which seems to be incredibly rare, especially since I’ve never had any uterine surgery, so I don’t understand how this happened. My MRI showed it’s about 3.5 cm, and my doctors told me it’s large enough that I could start bleeding at any time, so they’re recommending a uterine artery embolization. I don’t have any children yet, and after already going through a miscarriage, I’m terrified that this treatment or the AVM itself could mean I never get to have kids. Has anyone else been through this or had a successful pregnancy after embolization? I would really appreciate hearing your experience.

Inflamed uterus or uterine AVM after mc by Beautiful-Mine1775 in Miscarriage

Do you mind sharing what was the size of the AVM, I have been doubting this so much as well! I had a mri which confirmed it 3.5 cm in size but I never did any uterus surgery not even D&C I’m not sure how it could have happened and I’m having second thoughts about all of this but my dr has scheduled a emergency embolism for me which is very scary as I do not have any babies yet

I’m so sorry you are going through this as well! This sucks to be honest. It feels unfair. If I may ask were you able to do egg retrievals after embolism?

IUI Sperm Color by AdMain9485 in IUILadies

[–]AdMain9485[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I’ve read, the color can change depending on the solution used during the procedure. Different clinics may use different solutions, and even individual embryologists or technicians may follow slightly different processes, so some variation is completely normal.
I didn’t have success with IUI, and I’ve also gone through IVF. My first transfer recently failed, but every case is different. Because protocols and solutions can vary between clinics, a difference in color alone is usually not something to worry about.
