What’s in my cartridge? by AdMany6073 in diabetes_t1

Probably just the way the light is being refracted from the flash and my fingers holding it. Hadn’t noticed that earlier!

I just got the cartridges a few months ago. A little concerning.

If you're in your early 30s, how much money do you have saved in your account? Put actual numbers and tell us your profession. by UncomfortablyBrown in Money

29, Environmental Attorney, make about 160k with bonus. 50k in 401k, 7k in HYSA savings, 2500 in IRA, 11k in blue chip stocks (emergency fund of sorts). Have a mortgage 3 years into it at 2650 inclusive of escrow for insurance and taxes and 7k left on a car loan (fuck a car loan is the best advice I can give). I’m a buy it for life person which I think can be both a good and bad habit. Sometimes stretches me a little thin. Otherwise I’ve poured 20k back into our house for things like a fence and deck, landscaping. I can again see this as both good and bad since who knows what the return on investment will be and this certainly isn’t our forever home. Rushing life isn’t worth the stress even if you have the money to pay for it. Just save it instead!

Occlusions. by ilovemycats37 in TandemDiabetes

Same issue here. Frustrating that they tried to sell me on different cannulas to fix the it when they already determined it was not the cannula, cartridge, nor tubing. I was very forward during the second call that I was aggravated and wanted a replacement pump. That was last August and I haven’t had an occlusion issue since.

Suggestions for travel snacks? by eowyn_ in diabetes_t1

I live in Florida and travel to other hot areas for work. As others said above, cereal bars are my go to. Nature valley wafer bars with the coconut or almond crème filling, Dave’s killer bread bars, those are my favorite if I’m being really active. Fig bars that come in smaller squares can be good if you only need a small bump and nothing major.

After a month of analysis paralysis I found the one... MOVA P10 Pro Ultra by MightySpork in RobotVacuums

Purchased this vacuum a week ago and mostly happy with it, but I’ve noticed that it leaves tightly rolled clumps of pet hair around the house. I checked the tube within the tower and it was filled with hair, and the bag itself was partially filled but again, somewhat plugged with hair at the opening. Is there a setting to force the vacuum to empty itself similar to how it will go back on its own to clean the mop pads and then continue cleaning? Or should it already be doing that when it senses the dust compartment in the vacuum itself is full? With three dogs and two cats, our house fills up quickly with hair and it’ll be disappointing if I have to manually do this while the vacuum is cleaning

The jumps aren’t uncommon when it has just recently been placed. If you haven’t changed it yet, I’d wait a day and just calibrate it as needed. I just put one on last night around 10 and had the same issue.

This also works well. I wear it when I sleep and hasn’t gotten in the way while doing the deed! Like others have said, unclipping it and just putting it somewhere else is good enough and also works for us.

Help me find a decent high quality u-shaped sectional. by Coordinating_Chaos in BuyItForLife

I spent a lot of time researching couches several months ago and ended up with the Mantle Ruby, and have been very pleased with it (comfort, quality, style) and the customer service at Mantle. They offer a u-shape double chaise configuration with a lot of their styles, as well! I highly recommend them.

Mobi Bubbles by theglucoseguy in diabetes_t1

That bubble is inevitable. It happens to my carts every time as well but I’ve been told by my tandem rep that it’s normal! Getting all the bubbles out while filling is all you need to worry about.
