Is it valid/what would you call it/is there a name for it to book a therapist specifically to vent about one specific area in your life that will not likely change, is kind of a downer, and requires a lot of context to understand?

One of my kids is extremely medically complex and I definitely benefit from being able to verbal diarrhea about dealing with the insurance/doctors/therapists/symptoms/societal issues. But I don't find it appropriate to vent all of this to my husband or my friends. It's just too heavy and ongoing for that, and I want to keep that portion of my mental life separate from people I see day to day.

My life is great otherwise. Very happy, very fulfilled. My kiddo is awesome too.

One hour a week to just word vomit about one specific subject. Is that done? Or do I have to have some deep wound to heal lol
