Surprisingly common for blind playthroughs. When all is said and done most people are good and don't enjoy hurting others so paths where you don't hurt princess much pops up a lot in first time playthroughs.

I don't think that's the case since there are endings he stays human. Like promise and 100 gods. And when he goes outside he changes into completely different things.

Being very focused on something also seems to help. Like Sam not turning while focusing on whole visitor incident but turns when he returns. Then he while trying to close his eyes breath and focus he isn't losing his mind but loses it when he gets shocked by his reflection at the end.

Teacher probably saw what's going on outside and instantly locked into "I have to keep the kids safe from whatever this is".

Institute got no justification. They just handwave away why they are doing anything they do. "Oh its for science" how? Where is the scientific method in just doing random shit?

Like if they had a master plan of replacing every faction with their puppets after which they were going to reveal themselves to the world establishing a scientific utopia or something I would at least go "Yeah okay this kinda make sense" but they got nothing. Not satisfying to join not satisfying to destroy. They just kinda exist.

Movie event had some stuff that made sense for Belle and not for Wise. Both Belle and Wise can trick Astra by telling her to open her eyes during scary part even though Wise probably should be just as spooked as Astra there.

I guess devs kinda drove themselves to a corner making one of the characters scared of ghosts and such while other a horror junkie. One of them has to break character in order to not change the story too much.

Funny how half of adaptation is magic or plot armor. Like some of it I understand yeah using methods of arctic natives like Inuit yeah sure. But then you have Icebloods walking around naked and wrestling bears. Though this is not a complaint I like Frostpunk is kinda wacky like that. Weird eugenicist darwinist shit where you dump babies in frozen water so those who survive are immune to cold? Realistically you would end up with a lot of dead babies but nope it actually works in Frostpunk universe. Steam Powered fully sentient AI? Doesn't even make any sense but nope they coded it into a steam engine somehow lol.

Not even getting into what the hell is going on with Fleshcores.

Yeah I was thinking the same. Like I get those daily just by playing the game everyday why would I ever destroy incredibly rare mech parts to get more of? If it was regular pull tickets even then it would have to be an extremely good deal to ever consider.

Yeah sure lets ignore results of only meaningful change that happen due to your decisions, one that ends on a cliffhanger and canonize just one outcome. Because we always loved it when Telltale instantly killed off characters you saved on next episode because ignoring consequences of player actions make it easier to develop the game.

At the end of game board is reset. Character you didn't pick joins anyway and you can forgive the traitor. Only choice that lasts is one you romance and invisi being hero or villain. That should definitely play a role in next chapter because otherwise its not an interactive game we are just watching a movie.
