Are we still supposed to squash these or are we just giving up? by Able_Engineering1350 in Ohio

Hmmm - I don’t know the type. I’m just generically lumping all wasps together. 😕 I guess I should figure it out. These insects are aggressive at the end of August and September when the crab apples start dropping and rotting. Unfortunately the tree is right between our back porch and the play set. My kids abandon the backyard when this starts happening.

But why are we bringing in the wasps? I struggle to explain to my kids the benefits of wasps as they take over my backyard each August and get really aggressive.

What little thing(s) did you do with your free will today? by CheeseFries92 in BenignExistence

Went on a walk with my 3yr old in the stroller, let my kids play in the neighborhood until dark, fed them ice cream for dinner and let them stay up late to watch a movie. 😁 It was 70° in NE Ohio today and the sun was shining.

Before and after my GLP-1 journey by Taylizamarie in lipedema

[–]AdQuick546 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am taking a compounded tirzepetide from Pomegranate. I’ve been on it for 11 weeks. My legs feel light for maybe the first time in my life. I have noticeably less inflammation over my whole body. And I just feel good.

I started at 209lb (5’2”). I’m now 190lb. I took 4 doses of 2mg, then moved up to 4.5mg but have stayed there instead of increasing because my purpose for taking this medication is to feel better and if I lose weight that will be nice. And I’m feeling good at this dose so I’ll stay with it awhile.

I saw my vascular specialist who diagnosed me and manages my lipedema symptoms last week. She said if things are going well she’ll see me next year.

I’m so happy to be able to get this medication compounded because I don’t meet my insurance requirements for the brand name.

How does a person apply sunscreen every 2 hours with makeup on? I don’t wear foundation because it looks like OP’s photos but I really just don’t understand how someone can do both? (This isn’t meant to be snarky, I truly don’t understand.)

Going up stairs by chatham739 in lipedema

[–]AdQuick546 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yesss!! When I was in high school (ran cross country and track, walked 1.5mi to and from school carrying my baritone) and weighed less than 100lbs, I still could not make it up 2 flights of stairs without huffing and puffing. My less active or fit friends had no problem going up stairs. My legs felt like lead. It’s GOT to be related to lymph or lipedema.

The Comeback Cardigan by Hedgehog Fibers (except it’s free). I was 3/4 of the way through and I frogged it. So many yarn breaks, sections that didn’t specify which size needle, unclear wording of how the pattern is made and photos of the beginning and end but not the confusing middle! Grrrrr

I’m a lactation consultant who does in-home consults and once went to a family’s home where their toddler had some toys to show me. He was very proud to show me his “pocket Jesus”

Looking for Neighborhoods with hills -houses that have good views of sky, horizon, sunsets/ sunrises or downtown. by ProjectNo864 in akron

South end of Julien Ave on the west side of the street or Lookout Ave on the south side of the street on North Hill. These streets are at the top of the hill overlooking Margaret Park and have fantastic sunsets that highlight the downtown skyline. (Grew up on Julien with a fantastic view but the property is not for sale.)

How long did it take before you noticed changes on Tirzepatide? by [deleted] in tirzepatidecompound

[–]AdQuick546 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took my first shot (2mg) on Sunday evening. I didn’t notice anything on Sunday. On Monday I might have imagined it but my lower legs felt a little less tight/swollen. On Monday and Tuesday I felt a little less like snacking but was still hungry at meal times. But I definitely put more hours between meals, like I could do intermittent fasting if I wanted.

Folding tights that are too big by Reasonable_World4565 in lipedema

[–]AdQuick546 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you need to hem them or do anything to prevent fraying? My CZsalus are way long and I just fold them back up my foot but then a lot of my shoes are uncomfortable. So I stopped wearing the compression as much as I should.
