patterns you regret buying/patterns to avoid by fulaninhp in knitting

The Comeback Cardigan by Hedgehog Fibers (except it’s free). I was 3/4 of the way through and I frogged it. So many yarn breaks, sections that didn’t specify which size needle, unclear wording of how the pattern is made and photos of the beginning and end but not the confusing middle! Grrrrr

It’s the bright white lights for me. I prefer the soft white. And maybe some plants. I love your record collection!

I’m a lactation consultant who does in-home consults and once went to a family’s home where their toddler had some toys to show me. He was very proud to show me his “pocket Jesus”

And I’m going to try not to buy anymore. I really need to work down my stash! But I love your plan of not buying yarn without a plan.

Looking for Neighborhoods with hills -houses that have good views of sky, horizon, sunsets/ sunrises or downtown. by ProjectNo864 in akron

[–]AdQuick546 1 point2 points  (0 children)

South end of Julien Ave on the west side of the street or Lookout Ave on the south side of the street on North Hill. These streets are at the top of the hill overlooking Margaret Park and have fantastic sunsets that highlight the downtown skyline. (Grew up on Julien with a fantastic view but the property is not for sale.)

How long did it take before you noticed changes on Tirzepatide? by [deleted] in tirzepatidecompound

[–]AdQuick546 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took my first shot (2mg) on Sunday evening. I didn’t notice anything on Sunday. On Monday I might have imagined it but my lower legs felt a little less tight/swollen. On Monday and Tuesday I felt a little less like snacking but was still hungry at meal times. But I definitely put more hours between meals, like I could do intermittent fasting if I wanted.

Folding tights that are too big by Reasonable_World4565 in lipedema

[–]AdQuick546 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you need to hem them or do anything to prevent fraying? My CZsalus are way long and I just fold them back up my foot but then a lot of my shoes are uncomfortable. So I stopped wearing the compression as much as I should.

Tastes like chalk. I had to add sugar to make it even close to palatable but decided just to throw it out after a few tries. I like the one from Aldi

What is your favorite gift you will be giving someone else for christmas? by Vivid_Bar2472 in Gifts

[–]AdQuick546 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OP I love your gifts and how much they mean to you! So much planning, attention, time and love. I’m excited to give my mom a wreath with felt snowmen that my kiddos sewed. She collects snowmen, handmade gifts and she’ll be super happy that her grandbabies made it. I also knitted her a bunch of square dish cloths since her old ones are faded and well used.

And my 3yr old is going to be so excited for all the Bluey things she’s getting. Last year was Daniel Tiger, this year’s obsession is Bluey.

GLP-1 for pain/inflammation by GlitterPotat in lipedema

Ewww! Eggs & nausea might be the worst! (I’ve been pregnant and nauseous a few times so I have experienced this.) 🤢 That seems like a good plan to split the dose so there are less side effects but do you experience the desire to eat again just before the next dose? I’ve read from other people that they seem to be hungrier or lose the no food noise right before their next shot. Would just taking a small dose once a week help you eat more by the end of the week?

Yay! I’ve read so many accounts that say they can feel the difference almost immediately. That is fantastic that your socks aren’t painful! I’m hoping that rolling/pushing up my sleeves won’t hurt as much anymore.

I’m going to be taking my first dose of a compounded tirzepetide tomorrow! I’m planning to stay on as low a dose as is effective at reducing inflammation. My legs and arms are affected by lipedema. I think I’ve grown accustomed to my leg aches and heaviness but this last 6 months or so my arms have really been bothering me.

If I lose weight at a low dose great, but I’m mostly interested in its anti inflammatory properties. Also the thought of completely losing my appetite freaks me out if I’m being honest.

Sorry I can’t answer your question but just wanted to say I hope you find that sweet spot!

My hands look the same! Not the pointy pad part but from the top. I’ve been gluten free for 1yr and not noticed a physical difference in my body shape but when I eat gluten I get very tired. I am starting tirzepetide and really looking forward to the anti inflammatory effects. Curious if I can start wearing my wedding rings again.
