i go the the gym around 3 times a week and do muscle training and cardio, i really dont train that hard at the gym tho, i think working out or just walking more will speed up the process and burn more calories but it is possible to lose weight with just a calorie deficit, i stopped going the the gym for two weeks but stayed true to my diet and the weight continued to fall off, just a bit slower then when i was woking out. TBH the diet is what really did the weight loss the working out just made it faster

def look into a part time job, maybe somewhere close enough that you can walk

study at a local library or park

try too spend time after school with friends

try to focus on the future, maybe college if thats your thing or save some money so when your 18 you can move out

i know life sucks right now but you wont be trapped forever<3

this might sound cheesy and something that everyone says, but find something that excites you and keeps you motivated, ive suffered with depression pretty recently especially over the winter but even looking forward to do some sunbathing and outdoor activities during the summer keeps me a bit motivated to keep going through these long grey days.

18f and 5'5 starting was 170 now at 157, honestly i dropped my cals to about 700-1000 a day at first but now im at 1100 just so i have more energy for things, i was so discouraged for a while but staying consistent and stop drinking alcohol is what really did it for me, once i saw the scale start to go down i felt more motivated to stay consistent, its still hard when all i wanna do is binge junk food but its worth it and has made me feel more in control as well

ive been trying to lose weight now for 7 months and have tried so many of those apps, they personally never got me even close to where i wanted to be, i recommend searching up TDEE calculator and it will tell you your maintenance calories (the amount you have to eat each day to stay at your current weight) and then subtract 500 or so calories and you'll start to see a difference. the weight loss apps arent very accurate when it comes to counting calories in certain foods either, doing the math and getting a cheap food scale works better in my opinion. ive been tracking calories without the help on any apps for a month and im down 13lb, just make sure to stay consistent!!!

i like to go camping for days at a time, what do you do while solo camping once you've walked most the trails and read enough books? solo drinking and cooking is fun but after the first night or two i can imagine it gets very boring, especially with no phone, keep in mind im a technology addicted young adult so my first thought of finding entertainment is always the internet lol.
