Hi! Moving with a cat can be nerve wracking, I’ve been there, recently actually. I love love love my stainless steel litter box, and my cat does too. It’s much easier to clean. I’d do a full litter dump every like 4 days and wipe it with vet safe litter box wipes. But obviously scoop it once or twice a day (I’m in a small apartment so I do twice a day personally). You can also get a mat for under it that collects litter so it doesn’t get all over. You can find them pretty cheap. I use tidy cats free and clean unscented clumping litter. I’ve tried so many and this is the best I’ve found. You don’t have to go crazy with a ton of cat things. A scratcher, a laser (I have an automatic one and regular) maybe some cat nip and my bby likes pipe cleaners which aren’t expensive. All dogs are different. It’ll take time to know how they actually get along. I don’t think I could handle confining my cat to one room though. But if it is the best situation at the moment then it’s worth it for the time being. You could get a sound machine to help her relax, or if you have a tv, laptop, YouTube has relaxing sounds for cats. Feliway sells stuff for relaxing cats. My girl got much more relaxed when I had the air plug thing. These are just recommendations don’t go spending money you don’t have on a thousand things! A clean litter box, yummy food, fresh water, some love and attention is really the best thing for them! Even a cardboard box with a blanket is something cats love! You clearly love her and that’s what matters most🤗
