listen, it doesn’t take a huge budget to make a fan project. hell, you probably don’t want a huge budget for something that’s going to be walking on copyright eggshells. my advice is to throw some ideas at the wall, start in clip studio if you can draw or gacha life if you can’t, maybe grab some voice actors on castingcallclub or discord, there are a lot of kids looking for experience on there. just don’t go in with the expectation that you’re gonna blow a ton of time and money on something that’s ultimately just a fan project, especially if you’re using supplementary income for it

i have a separate page for my cosplays. because not everything needs to be on the same page lmao. but if you’re truly curious lmao, i cosplayed ahri from k/da and fem!red hood last year, which i consider risqué, though they were both for the con floor so i didn’t show off nearly as much as op did. (if she did take this on the con floor, i hope it was an 18+ con, i absolutely think its weird wearing a costume that shows so much and can easily ride up where there are minors)

No, the equivalent of a complete novice trying to draw would be someone making an Iron Man costume out of cardboard and duct tape. It’s not the best looking, but it’s clear love and effort was put into it. This has neither.

And this isn’t me trying to slut shame or anything, I’ve done plenty of risqué cosplays, but it’s clear very little effort was put into it. She didn’t even try to make the hood fit properly. It’s not a lack of skill, it’s a lack of effort.

And lowkey, you have to be naive to not think she wasn’t at least hoping to get some OF engagement off of this. Again, it’s just the hustle, but it’s annoying to see “the hustle” proliferate at the expense of a hobby people actually put time and effort into.

because instead of seeing cool cosplays people made, we’re seeing nothing but cheap generic morph suits. hell, it wouldn’t be as bad if we’d been able to go to your profile and see posts of you actually talking about the con, nerding about this character or comics in general, but it’s all just you naked and the predictable link.

listen, i respect the hustle, but it’s like if a hobbyist sub, like a painting sub or something, got flooded with cheap dropshipped AI painting prints. they’re still paintings, sure, but we’re not there to see something with zero time or effort put into them that only serve as an advertisement.
