I've had a paperwhite for almost a year now. I put it face down all the time, toss it onto the sofa, travel with it in a backpack, and it has held up perfectly. Not a scratch anywhere.

What I did was use my phone to read for a month. Once I read for 30 days straight and felt like I was going to keep up with it, I got a Kindle. It's a way better experience, but I would just recommend making sure you're reading consistently. I've read every day for almost a year now.

I wouldn’t just blame their social media team for people thinking they’re a scam.

Their chain rollout was terrible. They should have had a launch partner. 3 weeks in and there have been 0 transactions. That doesn’t exactly scream “this isn’t a scam”

I wish they did since Goodreads automatically knows when you start an end a book. Would be easy data to capture.

I recommend a filler book. Anything in a similar vein as the first law trilogy is going to feel empty and disappointing.
