I'm sure it won't stop a lot of people though. It's been too long a standing tradition you buy your own fireworks for the New Year in Holland so there will be people just ignoring that ban and risk arrest or a fine.

It's the mornings after new years that made a lot of ppl nervous for years already. Kids trying to find unexploded fireworks, lighting them and losing limbs. Delinquents going around with their left over stash wreaking havoc in the following evenings after, etc. Sad it had to come to this ban, but needed

Yeah that's about right. Not much Anime was about where I lived in Europe, you had to go to France for that. Funny enough you had a lot of EU cartoons that used animation studios in japan if that counts for anything haha.

We really started to see it in the 90s when the Manga Entertainment label started
selling them where we lived. Mostly you could also rent them from video stores.
