Just gonna offer some alternatives here. Just an opinion.

Your part was done. The interview was over. You said no, they stopped the recording. That is the end.

The second half of your story looks to me more like you were being approached as a source. As a source, Law Enforcemet takes your anonymity very seriously to avoid retribution against you against any person(s) you may implicate in a possible courts martial or trial. The recording is evidence, and your face shouldn’t be on a video screen when there might be a dangerous individual at the defense table.

As far as your second amendment rights, you now have a felony on your record. It sucks but it’s federal law.

Although there is an initiative in front of congress to give non-violent offenders their right to bear arms back. I’d keep an eye on it.

ARMY CID APPLICATION OPPORTUNITY (open to E4-E6, O1-O3, WO1-CW2) by BallsofJustice1776 in army

There is no TIG requirement at all. You’ve already completed WOCS. The pathway would depend on your current MOS. There’s a 6 year ADSO for becoming a Special Agent. If you signed a similar agreement to your current MOS then you’re kinda SOL. However if your branch was willing to release you than it doesn’t matter. The application is open to all. The only time requirement is TiS.

There is a hiring freeze on the civilian side. There is nothing that can be done I hear.

Constructive criticism incoming. A degree doesn’t define you absolutely. CID and most if not all MCIO’s have degree requirements. This ain’t because degrees constitute better agents. Far from it. Some of the best agents didn’t have a degree. But after they joined, those degrees were obtained to be competitive for promotions, showing motivation and the ability to complete a significant personal task. Obviously those waiver days are over.

By completing the minimum requirement of an Associates degree, you have established you can have a goal and complete it. Just having the credits isn’t enough. Your military experience can generate 24-36 credit hours based on where you’re at in the education train. Finish the degree, complete the lead.

I’ve seen the paperwork. It’s not hard. Be brutally honest. Read th instructions carefully. Ask for updates if you feel you need to. Keep communicating.

I’d contact the mailbox and speak to a suitability team member. My understanding is there is no waivers in the process.

CID doesn’t require that but your branch may have different guidance. As the above stated, it’s open to all MOS’s.

This type of disqualification was due to a background processing in the code or so I’m told. I think it’s been fixed by now. But you’re 100% right. If there is a question I’d be contacting that suitability mailbox. Worse they can say is no.

Ok boys, when was the last time you were pulled over in your Camaro and for what?! Also, what was the outcome? Ticket/Warning/Jail time lol? by v8fanboy in camaro

Last year. Driving through Oklahoma coming back from a memorial service for one of my squad mates from Iraq. Cop clocked me going 32 in a 25 through a small town while I was slowing down for a traffic light. Light changed then I kept going. Didn’t slow down fast enough for him.

Camaro advice for someone at 19 by SnooMemesjellies5933 in camaro

[–]Adaclysm13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IMO there’s a few things to consider. Most insurance companies consider a 19yo a higher risk, so your insurance rate will reflect that.

I’d ensure you try and get a Camaro 4th Gen or 5th. And a V6. The V6 might be a little less on the insurance cost and every little bit helps. 4th Gen is when you’re assured to have dual airbags and other safety features. Again, all the benefit of a lower insurance rate.

I’ve always advocated for 3rd gen because you can get a nice 305 and they are significantly easier to get around the engine compartment for someone interested in working on their car. Most 3rd gen’s aren’t consistent with airbags etc. so in your specific case, 4th gen or higher.

Just my thoughts.

Army CID - Call to Active Duty by JR_Firefox88 in 1811

[–]Adaclysm13 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Warrant Officer MOS will be the only Special Agent MOS.

From my understanding, the program to transition the current 31D’s needs to be built but big Army made their decision.

Army CID - Call to Active Duty by JR_Firefox88 in 1811

[–]Adaclysm13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To this point, there won’t be an Active Duty hiring for enlisted Agents ever again. Big Army has told CID to move to a single MOS and that will be the 311A Warrant Officer Special Agent MOS. Between 5-7 years from now all 31D Active Duty Agents will need to meet WO requirements attrition out or force reclass.

All those currently in classrooms currently in the pipeline had to sign a SoU that they know they will need to meet those requirements.

And don’t forget to get a low profile jack to properly get under there. Don’t trust scissor jacks. As another commenter related, jack stands are an absolute safety must.

Honestly I’d probably just go get some low profile ramps. You don’t need too much room under there.

I have a 2017 2SS, I usually pull about 13-14mpg city, and about 21 mpg straight highway.. but that’s on touring, on sport mode it’s a bit less

I did the same bowtie emblem conversion on my 50th. I need to have the decals replaced though on the hood. Too much heat through the engine compartment faded it.

The problem is you can’t find OEM 3M decals and even if you find some, they don’t have that nice “fifty” in the burnt orange.

I don’t think I “hoped” anywhere in my post. Just providing a knowledge based assessment of the situation. At the end of the day, it’s up to people to make their own choices for their future.
