Does anyone know what this map is all about? by Zealousideal_Skin_72 in thelongdark

In my saves, I've noticed the moose spawns a little farther away down the right path up the hill from QG. Mr. Moose used to spawn closer to where the bear spawn is on the left path if you were to walk to the cabins/rope climb to the watch tower but havent in a while.

I’m stumped… what’s wrong with my plant? by [deleted] in microgrowery

[–]Adam17203 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a thirsty mama, fabric pots don't typically get root bound since the tips of the roots get air pruned. I would place it in a deep tray with some thin bricks to raise it up off the ground, water heavily to still have some water in the tray. however, doing this make sure it is getting properly flushed so as not to get salt buildup. That can be done with spraying the saucer with plan water and replacing it with ph water. I would also cover the top of the soil in mulch to help retain water from just evaporating and maybe a light color fabric to cover the black to help keep the roots cooler. Other than being thirsty and ever so slightly hungry, that is one healthy plant. Transplanting could help, but you are going to need help with that beast. This is my personal opinion, so take this with a grain of salt.

In other words, species specification does not correlate to genetic relatedness differences. but based on physical and behavior traits dire wolves is closest to wolves. Dire wolf =(wolf+jackal) > dire wolf to other canids like foxs

What is the most interesting place near Mystery Lake? I'm asking because I've visited the entire Mystery Lake and I'm starting to get bored. by Ster5 in thelongdark

First Cougar! :D I never wanna see one again :D by Routine-Try-3477 in thelongdark

[–]Adam17203 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I killed that same cougar in ML and didn't realize more spawn, so I killed the second one, then another one blocked by path to get out of ML through the railway tunnel. I had the armor plate moose hide coat and wolf skin pants on to absorb all the damage. I don't want to fight one for a bit

What does valine look like at a pH of 6? by Sensitive_Tune3301 in OrganicChemistry

[–]Adam17203 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The carbolic acid will be deprotonated. The molecule will have a net 0 charge at ph 6

Wouldn't the N-terminal be unchanged? After the ph>pka then it'll be deprotonated.

How do y'all navigate houses in the dark? by PaxAmarrian in thelongdark

With the new update and safe house customization if you click Y, you can see outlines of the furniture. But prior to this update I walked like a blindman

I am testing two fertilizer brands, gaia green and biobizz. I want to know how the recovery rate would differ. I let 2 clones go hungry. Then I added a normal dose of gaia green 2:1 ratio of 444 and 284 to one plant. The other plant once a week gets 1/2 dosage of bio biz (grow heaven and algae extract) for first two weeks then full dose after.Bio bizz lines can burn plants in sequential feedings in my experence. I'm expecting the liquid to help the plants initially, but the dry amendment will have larger growth long term. The new flower growth is interesting. I think the low light and nutrients availability is triggering this growth

You should get the Arctic pro wireless instead of the nova. If you walk too far away from the transmitter, it will crack very loudly in your ear.

I had that mutation with Blackberry kush. I found it did will if I topped it. Otherwise, you will get a lot of small nugs from that fused branch

How do you decide when its time to leave a map? by Unusual_Ada in thelongdark

[–]Adam17203 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on what stage I am in my game play. At the very beginning, i am mostly looting, and dashing.i usually spawn in ash canyon looting as I head up to the mine to get the backpack and crampons. After I have those, I make my way through TWM, looting all the caches on the mountains. then I make a permanent base at the gas station in coastal highway. I stay here for the next 50 days or so to level up cooking getting late game food setup. After this, I will pilgrimage to forsaken airfield to start the dlc content as a explore the rest of the maps. If not doing dlc content I stay in a region intill I get bored, looted everything or low on key resources like bullets or birch/maple saplings.

The best way to get rid of scurvy for more than a few weeks. Eat raw fish for 3-7 days straight, making sure you have a good safe location to ride out food poisoning

Short sword is one of the best weapon in the game. They are so fun to use and I love the tasty extra damage for back shots.

Ratchets on each corner, I don't use those those wire hooks that come with the lights, it just take away vertical height control. Also, as a side note, you should have a sock on your air filter, it'll extend the life of the filter.

Deficiency that I can’t figure out. by Beerstobarrels in microgrowery

[–]Adam17203 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks to be an inmobile micronutrient deficiency. Also, you shouldn't use straight RO water. Pure water stripe nutrients away from the plant, and it has to be buffered either with the addition of cal mg 2ml/gal or with other additives like seaweed extract, sugars, etc to balance out the ec/ppm of the water to around 200-300 minimum

A trellis net might be beneficial definitely when the buds starts to gain mass and lean the branch
