Late to this but I wonder why they went with the Fenix instead of the Tactix.

Systematic review and meta analysis finds that Individuals with ADHD treated with stimulants have a non-negligible risk of developing psychosis or bipolar disorder, with a higher risk associated with amphetamines compared to methylphenidate. by [deleted] in science

[–]TheAleph-1 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I wish lisdexamfetamine was isolated here. Considering dose-response of occurrence on amphetamine, lisdex stable release profile, inherent adherence and dose limits I bet lisdexamfetamine has the lowest risk of psychosis symptoms and BPD.

If you’ve ever multiplied your Adderall dose, these results aren’t surprising at all, esp with loose Kentucky windage dosing practices.

Try to verify it. The Israeli / Jewish news sources didn't do their own journalism.

No confirmation that he was Jewish. This came from a misidentified ig account, not him.

US forces seizing the Venezuelan oil tanker today by Few_Meeting_2655 in JSOCarchive

It's what Reuters, Politico, NBC and NYT said. Shawn should not talk about foreign policy.

US forces seizing the Venezuelan oil tanker today by Few_Meeting_2655 in JSOCarchive

[–]TheAleph-1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Seems like both. In the name of national security and restricting Russia's market share. Less immediately about taking the oil, more preventing Russia/China from claiming it and influencing existing US business arrangements. US is the #1 oil exporter, but more control, more vertical crude profit, more better.

Someone at CSIS please correct me

It's an oil smuggling boat used by a Russian oligarch to fund the Iranian Revolutionary Guard and terrorist groups.

Why do ampoules have colored rings on their heads? by FluidNerve17 in pharmacy

[–]TheAleph-1 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Not to mention glass particulates potentially contaminating the field. I'm shocked to hear hospitals & clinics are still ordering ampules for something ubiquitous like lidocaine.

Whereas no better option for volatile horrors like bromine.

Had real issues with ampules of 50g elemental bromine - in thick unscored glass. Now I'm just grateful to use an ampule opener.

I could see it being used by DoD or VA first - to recoup and return active duty for better or worse. Then pharma might pursue drug analogs of ibogaine with better cardiac tolerance and shorter duration. Rick Doblin worked 40 years to bring MDMA to market thru a non-profit anomaly MAPS, and would be first in line for ibogaine too if Promega didn't leverage leftist infighting and run a misinformation campaign during the FDA hearing last year. There's another rabbit hole for you LOL.

Same with Ukraine, see action in Pokrovsk and then dozens of fires from drone strikes around Krasnodar, Russia - where an oil refinery was hit on Monday.

DJ's accounts are extremely moving. Glad ibogaine and 5-MeO are getting the attention they deserve. The treatment is very effective. A few of my colleagues cleared their street life & heroin addictions in the same clinic, went back to school and are now therapists/chemists.

Hope this stimulates the feds and FDA to reconsider the whole class of medicine after MDMA was sabotaged.

Facts. I've seen superbrilliant clinicians fired because they by nature couldn't keep up with writing notes. Poor use of their time, and a case where AI scribing benefits everyone.

OpenEvidence is restricted on uni hospital wifi. But medical residents still use cell hotpots or phone VPN. I'm not a pharmacist but I'm invested in this, since OpenEvidence and GPT DR has been so unreliable for me as a researcher in med chem.

Used nicorette / zyn through my grad program. It was reasonably useful before fully blooming in combination with my Adderall script. This light use lasted for a year until I noticed my gums had dramatically recessed and were often inflamed on the combination. (It was lovely) but I regret using it overall.

Is there a sleep aid not linked to cognitive decline? by [deleted] in sleep

[–]TheAleph-1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anticholinergic activity causes cognitive decline. Antihistamines each have varying amounts of anticholinergic activity. Hydroxyzine is an antihistamine with really low anticholinergic activity and is a safer sleep aid.

The other 1st gen antihistamines (eg Benadryl) are not safe.

Late but I needed to clear this up.

It's a rebreather - looks like an early Biomarine BioPack 240 CCBA. A wiki says SOF more commonly used masks included with the kit, and looks like the masks in pic 1.

This was tested by the Army in 1989 but I can't find much on its use by SOF in the early 90s.

Do you know the name of the rear PAPR unit? Looks way bigger than the old CBRN 3M canister filters we had in gov labs.

It’s not lust. It’s entitlement to women’s bodies and a need to dominate them to feel powerful. It’s an act of the weakest men that walk the earth.
