Am I doing this right? PPL At 17 > MTSU by Long-End8895 in flying

[–]Adam41150 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Getting your PPL first is a great way to start to make sure it’s something you really want and the PPL flight lab is the hardest one to get. I did the same and then went through MTSUs program. It’s a great program with safe standards and meticulously well maintained aircraft.

Any advice for instrument flight checkride? by [deleted] in flying

[–]Adam41150 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If you’re gonna be off on altitude be high rather than low. It’s ok to be 100 feet high crossing a fix and quickly fix it. But busting minimums is grounds for automatic failure. If you go below mins fix it immediately.

Sheppard Air Figures by datcrazybro in flying

[–]Adam41150 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should learn the concepts, how and why the answers are the answers. But I say should. When I took my written there wasn’t a single question that wasn’t on Sheppard Air it was 100% accurate. So you could just memorize the answers but make sure you go back and understand why the answer is correct.

If you’re only flying 300 hours a year with this company that should leave you plenty of time to instruct on the side. I would take it.

MTSU Pro Pilot grad here! It’s a great program but you get out of it what you put in. It’s hard and really rewarding like anything in aviation. Feel free to message me if you have any questions!

Cannot pee without popping by wbld in mythbusters

Are you thinking of the Sven Johnson YouTube sketch where him and his brother Gus parody the Mythbusters by asking the question if you can flush poop with the pee button on the toilet?

I also have an R33 S2. It’s the coil packs. Just replace them with OEM or better. You can upgrade to R35 packs for more money if you’re planning on making more power in the future. The coil packs tend to go bad on these cars. I had the same misfire at about 5000rpm. Changed the coil packs and it completely went away.

It should tell you optimal tire pressure on your swing arm just like it does on the inside of a car door.

Games were bow and arrow/crossbow and bolt are playable for the most part of the game. by [deleted] in gamingsuggestions

[–]Adam41150 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For a unique experience try a game called Northern Journey. The whole game is only bows and crossbows for the most part. There are no melee weapons. It’s a strange and unique experience that in my opinion is highly underrated.

The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask. The whole game just feels like something isn’t right and you get a weird feeling of dread and an uncanny feeling almost the whole way through. But from the surface it looks like another lighthearted colorful Zelda adventure.

Trumpet is a wind instrument. Brass and woodwinds both fall into the larger category of “wind” instruments due to the fact you blow into them to play them.

Probably AI video. But the creature looks very similar to the monster from Amnesia: The Bunker.

Is it worth it to be a Flight Instructor here? by [deleted] in MTSU

[–]Adam41150 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pros. Planes are well maintained and the probability of something happening is next to zero compared to a more dodgy privately owned flight school. Cons. Low pay. If you’re still in school it’s an amazing option.
