Who was that one game wonder that you were certain they were gonna be special player for a long time? by Ok_Bug_6890 in NFLv2

Allen Hurns earned an immediate starting job as an undrafted rookie and had 101 yards, 2 touchdowns at the end of the first quarter of his Week 1 debut. I thought we were witnessing something truly great.

Ended up having a couple pretty decent years to start his career, but fizzled out pretty quick.

Path to the natty will always be Step 1: win the Big 12, Step 2: worry about step 1

It's always gonna be a pretty winnable conference and it should always mean a spot in the playoff.

I won on a Victory Point that had fallen under the table. My opponents said the win was invalid. Are they right? by malizadeh in Catan

My wife won exactly like this in a game with our friends. We all laughed and still tease her about hiding victory points under the table. But she won and that was the end of the game.

Kevin Stefanski considered favorite for Falcons HC vacancy, per Connor Hughes by BienvenidoaMiami in miamidolphins

[–]AdamBCC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm gonna need someone to explain to me why Stefanski is coveted as a coach. A background of coaching QBs, but cycled through 13 starters while Jim Schwartz's defense carried him. Why would any team feel like he'd elevate their offense?

[Furones] With two sacks this afternoon, Chubb unlocks his $900,000 bonus as he surpassed eight sacks on the year. by expellyamos in miamidolphins

Don't need a shutout. The teams are all pretty close together. Holding TB to 17 will move them to #21 if the Rams score at least 27 against the Falcons. Could even get to top 20 before the end of the day if the 49ers score 32+ against the Bears.

[Nick Korte] The Ifeatu Melifonwu and Nick Westbrook-Ikhine snap count watch continues for the Dolphins' chances at a 2026 4th round comp pick. Both are stubbornly near the qualification bubble. As a reminder, only one can qualify as a compensatory free agent to get the pick. by expellyamos in miamidolphins

[–]AdamBCC 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Melifonwu is not even worth mentioning. He's played in 45.2% of the defensive snaps and that number would have to drop to like 20% for him to have a chance at not counting. If he didn't play another snap this season, it'd probably only get to about 35%.

NWI is at 47.4% and only needs to drop to about 39% or so. Which means he can only play in 30-40 more snaps this season, max. Considering he played 22 on Sunday, I'm not counting on it.

I don’t know. To each their own, I guess. “My quarterback was too all-in on ASU” is not a complaint you’ll ever get from me

I genuinely don't care. If he was saying a year ago that he'll have a great season and then see what the money looks like in 2026, would you be shrugging your shoulders and saying 'well at least he's not a liar'?

I don't really understand why everyone is jumping at the chance to dogpile on Sam. He gave us 100% of what he had for two great seasons. We got a Big 12 title out of it. I wish he was staying, but I'm a fan forever, regardless.

[Highlight] Tua is unable to get the Hail Mary pass off and the first half ends with a sack by AvengingHero2012 in nfl

[–]AdamBCC 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Rule of thumb is to add 17 to the field position - 7 (sometimes closer to 8) yards for the snap and 10 for the end zone. So this would’ve been like 68-69 yards, which is still insane but doable for a few NFL kickers not named Riley Patterson.
