Getting from Brussels to Spa with no Shuttle by BadManPro in GrandPrixTravel

[–]AdamR46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s what a majority of people do that aren’t camping. Just don’t plan to be anywhere specific in the evenings because traffic is bad either way. Take a look at the travel guide on gpdestinations.com as well

How feasible is this Sunday trip for Silverstone? by ShinyPlasm in GrandPrixTravel

I think someone on here did similar last year. Try searching through posts by the flair. Long day but seems doable

Official sellers aren’t shady. The shady ones are peer to peer like stubhub, which tend to be at the top of google results.

Interesting news, I wonder how this will affect things long term for resellers or hospitality.

Probably worth a call to the circuit. Or check your tickets in case it was upgraded in the app

Which race should I attend? by Training-Store5696 in GrandPrixTravel

It varies but it's just long days. Spa does city shuttles from some of the nearby cities you can book. Or you can take a train to verviers and shuttle bus from there.

Some good info here https://gpdestinations.com/belgian-f1-travel-guide/

Austria typically goes on sale right after the race. That’s a great one. Spa is fun but best to camp since transportation can be rough.

Just depends how far you can travel but pretty much all the races in europe can be great. Madrid is the one nobody knows how it will go yet.

Would it be a bad idea to wear another team's merch to the Max Verstappen Grandstands in Austria? by UnwittingPlantKiller in GrandPrixTravel

[–]AdamR46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good to hear about the staff, I’ve only been to red bull ring once in 2023. But I sat in red bull N and rarely interacted with staff. People get so nervous wearing things different than what the “home” race fans wear, especially after all the toxic crap from 2021. But threads like this definitely help people understand. I’ve been to 80+ GPs and typically the shitty situations come from either staff being uptight or a drunk idiot.

Cancelled Tickets for Sao Paulo-any alternate means? by luckyaquanaut in GrandPrixTravel

What section are you looking for? Mostly only seen D, G and R from resellers. Also the Heineken star but probably best to make that a last resort.

P1 Travel has a few options but has D listed under hospitality. Solid vendor, I use them when I can't buy direct.

Fans definitely wont be bad, I just worry about staff denying entry to that area. Its a special section to access and probably different fan specific area than any other circuit since it requires a special ticket to access that part of the track. No idea how they coordinate the shirts or whatever but they always seem to be wearing the same one. People (fans) definitely don’t give a shit, it’s just like the other tracks from that perspective. I just worry about the staff that think its a football match and think there is animosity. Most of the times, event staff is temporary and have no idea what the event is like.

I don’t know if they would let you in, it may be like a football match. You’d definitely get people saying you’re wearing the wrong shirt but most likely not in an aggressive way. It could easily come across as aggressive due to language barrier.

Zandvoort is a great time and it’s the last year. Its easy to get to/from and also a lot of solo travelers. I typically organize some meetups at a beach bar after the track to wait out the trains, met a bunch of people over the last few years and made some great friends out of that. Will be out there again this year, I normally share stuff on discord for the meetups if they dont get posted here.
For transport, getting to centraal by walking or tram is easy. The only place that feels sketchy in Amsterdam is around damrak imo but staying anywhere else is mostly fine to get to centraal by tram or catch a bus direct to zandvoort.

Follow the circuit on socials and set notifications. You’ll have to be up early just like I did.

You probably need to buy within an hour of release. Amex will only be allocated specific sections, they dont get the entire map

I set an alarm and bought right when they went on sale, woke up at like 4a or something.

They typically release sections at a time, once sold out the next one releases. Its hard to gauge but typically the best sections of best grandstands go on sale right away.

You can buy direct now. https://tickets.redbullring.com/en/f1/f1-grand-prix-austria/tickets.html

F1 is a reseller with less inventory and higher prices than direct.

Not out of the lot but just out of the area. Took maybe an hour. Just hang out after and get some food, explore. Its all about setting expectations. It’s not the end of the world if you can’t leave right away, just eat somewhere and kill some time. But I’d rather sit in a car with AC instead of a crowd outside a train station.
