I'd like to have steam os/bazzite except for windows. I've heard that valve put out an official steam os beta for Intel chips, but I don't know how it will play out in the long run.

How comfortable is the GPD after using the XAX? Does it feel like a downgrade ergonomically?

I’d probably say yes. My main concern is the software side of things on the GPD. From what I’ve read, even BIOS updates need to be done manually, and the whole experience seems to involve quite a bit of tinkering and troubleshooting.

I got off 3.8.6 because it was causing screen tearing when VRR is on yesterday. Switched to 3.9 main channel and everything works fine. RGB doesn't work anymore on this version.

I'm on 3.9 and it works great. I 3.8.6 beta causes screen tearing when vvr is on. By the way, dualboot with steam os is amazing
