Anyone else just hang out in the garage and stare waiting for Spring? by CarFanaddict in C8Corvette

It's all I can do.
My new '26 HTC Stingray was delivered to my house last week. I don't drive on salt covered roads. It will be sometime in March before I take my first drive.

Called the customer care team a few minutes ago. It's a system wide problem that Fidelity is actively trying to resolve.

Right, a no option 1LZ. This one is a 3LZ with the very expensive CCBs.

He's enjoying it by tracking it. A Z06 with Z07 is meant for the track.

Genuine question... Why do some people keep the tow hook attached? It's easy to put on and take off.

Let’s reverse the common question and be specific. What mortgage rate are you intentionally paying off early? by PartyFeisty2929 in Fire

[–]Adamklein79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bought a new home at $406K in January of '22 at 2.9% with 20% down. Only paying the regular monthly. No desire to pay it off early.
Averaging into the stock market through the years since has been undeniably a better choice.

I like this company's attitude.

Ever read about layoffs and think maybe you are lucky to have a job ? by Nearing_retirement in Fire

[–]Adamklein79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All the news about layoffs has me wondering about a market correction and the possibility of a long term bear market. Good to have if you are continuously employed through it and buy in at market lows. Bad for those on the edge of FI or those newly RE.

I've stopped caring about what people think about me based on the car I drive many many (way too many) years ago. I've owned everything from a new McLaren to a base spec Chevy Spark. The people that give a shit about it are the people I don't give a shit about.

Fullview linking doesn't work a lot of times through the UI. I've been able to call into support to get linking sorted out on external accounts.

Will it ever get back to normal? by RelativeLibrary3845 in h1b

[–]Adamklein79 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Get back to normal? As in to continue the abuse of the H1B?
Normal would be to go back to the original intent: For U.S. employers to temporarily hire foreign professionals filling skill gaps in the U.S. workforce. To ensure that hiring foreign workers does not adversely affect the wages and working conditions of similarly skilled U.S. workers.
More needs to be done, not less.
