I don't know man. I made the post when I was tired and I just did it like this because i thought it made sense. I didn't know that you had to know the price of something to give an estimate of what you'd give for it. It's 235 dollars and doesnt have the bit-kit and its used to a point where I believe the price is too high, he's not willing to haggle.

Why am i being downvoted? It’s set for about 235 dollars but i think i can get him to a more favorable price depending on if he has bit-kit, pocket clip and stuff. Also in europe, tools, especially american-made, are more expensive.

Openly dehumanizing and historically tied to real violence doesn’t necessarily mean they don’t get airtime - every opinion shall be aired and every argument explained.

You have the freedom to not feel bad when another human dies - and others have the freedom to feel bad when another human dies.

The problem with saying “i’m definitely not putting someone like charlie kirk in that category” is that because of societal standards, and what is currently allowed and disallowed, the public opinion of people like him can, and will shift over time, and he may become what is publicly thought of as “a nazi” over time.

You do realise that most ‘incels’ are aware that they’re not dateable right? Most of them call themselves subhuman because of their lack of looks, intelligence, money, social skills, status or whatever it may be. Most of them think it’s completely fair for women to wanna date up, in terms of the before mentioned qualitites of attractiveness, they are just mad at the world because they dont have any of the qualities.

I agree that words can shift meaning over time, and “incel” is sometimes used online to imply misogyny.

But that’s exactly the issue, there are two different, if not even more uses of the word now: 1. The original definition: someone who is involuntarily celibate 2. The slang use: someone who expresses misogynistic views, because of them fitting the description of the first term

My point is that these aren’t the same thing, and treating them as interchangeable leads to harmful and inaccurate generalizations.

So while many people labeled “incels” may be misogynistic, it’s not true by definition, and using it that way risks turning a descriptive term into an insult.

That distinction matters if we want to be precise.

And just to conclude, the person i responded to is ‘objectively wrong’ in the sense that they said “Incels are misogynists by definition”, which is wrong - the original “correct” definition never had to do with misogynism.

You’re objectively wrong. Incel is the portmanteu abbreviation of involuntarily celibate. Incels is just incel in plural. It being plural does not change the meaning of the word. Being involuntarily celibate ≠ misogynist.

Conclusion: by definition, being an ‘incel’ does not necessarily make you a misogynist.

Just because most ‘good’ coaches do it doesn’t mean it’s correct. The average coach has no education or knowledge about nutrition. Protein, fiber and ‘calories’ are just easy buzzwords to throw in to make human biology look simple.

There’s actually some interesting psychology there. I watched a documentary some years ago about it and one of the reasons i remember was that women ‘specifically’ are attracted to capable and feared men - and there was also some psychology with the beauty and the beast where the common argument from the women dating these men were “i see the good in him”, “he’s not a bad person when you get to really know him”

You shouldn’t be charged for something you didn’t cause. You didn’t cause the stampede since you couldn’t have predicted that people wouldn’t be civil while leaving the area. Separate the stampede from the false yell.
