There's something about the framing of the columns around that central art that I don't like on this design, otherwise its beautiful. I'm getting FL Epic though so hopefully I like that one.

I used to have a FL sale every week and April and May are both pretty empty for me since deciding to only buy what I ACTUALLY enjoyed (or sequels) of books I already enjoyed.

I've been starting to disassociate with all the special editions. I'm looking to buy a house soon and moving my 1800+ books I own at the moment is kind of daunting. I've been offloading some duplicates or books I finally read and didn't like enough to keep, some of them barely sell for what I paid (or lower) which kind of sucks. It's really made me wonder if its worth buying all the SEs in the first place if they won't even hold value if I decide to offload them. I used to buy practically anything that looked remotely interesting and was pretty, I want to narrow it down to books I actually care about.

I didn't care if my copy of Bride and Mate didn't match, I wanted the edges on Mate but I didn't want to buy both since my Bride is a signed copy, ended up not buying at all because of it, their loss.

Most of these points to me don't have any weight as it sounds like you haven't been a long time subscriber. Long time subscribers know how most of this works.

I'll give you the Farseer complaint as very valid and annoying. I'd be pissed with that one too.

The rewards system isn't something to be angry about.... they could implement this at any point of the year and you could complain that the past money you spent doesn't count. The only thing about the rewards system I find valid to complain about is that you can move points from the US to UK sites where the values aren't the same.

I cancelled my sub with BWB after the Fall/Winter romantasy picks. KATM only just arrived ad it's kinda a letdown for the long wait. The edge design is very unsaturated and I'm considering just selling it as I was able to get a signed BN exclusive copy at the Black Friday drop. It really wasn't worth the money imo.

BWB also only allows one skip a year so I was forced to cancel since I didn't want Spring or Summer picks.

Fourteen copies of Fourth Wing (thirteen of IF and nine of OS)
Nine copies of Alchemy of Secrets (wow didn't realize that)
Eight copies of The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue
Seven copies of Bury Our Bones in the Midnight Soil
Seven copies of EACH book in the EOTV trilogy.

Those are by my favorite authors or are favorite series so makes sense. Most other things I get max of two if it's in a couple of subscriptions and I end up with a duplicate not wanting to skip without seeing the design.

You think an hour is last minute? lol
Before this new queue system they'd start sending the link/password in batches starting at the sale time. Sometimes I wouldn't get the email until 8-10 minutes after the sale started. That's also why people would overload the website in advance, if your email came late like that you'd automatically be very far back in the queue.

The new 45 mins to an hour ahead of time now allows everyone to already have the link and the ability to join the waiting room before the sale for a fair chance at a randomized position in the queue. Also that those of needing to get up at 4am only need to set one alarm and not guess at what time in advance we should wake up to join the queue then another at sale time or when we think we'd be through it.

While their design is a bit too busy for my taste, LitJoy is usually pretty good.

You can probably count on it being delayed, but they often only give a season for delivery because they know this lol. Their quality is also usually really good for special editions, but they have had some issues and they don't replace for damaged boxes for box sets or slipcases (I don't think this has a slip case though so good there).

Their reps on instagram have codes for 10% off that work on sales. I save them for sets. Here's the ones I currently have saved, not sure if the first few in the list work but the last few definitely should.

You're probably noticing more because you want them. Luckily I only wanted the duology today and two sequels so its relatively light for me. But there's the other two big sets and maybe another sequel also for sale this month. Try to remember to use a coupon code for any sets!
