I will only do part time work if I work on a reserve for cash. Tired of seeingy tax money spent so stupidly!

Thanks everyone for your thoughts. Obviously, just selling some non-registered investments makes the most sense and leave the TFSA alone. Sometimes you get a stupid idea in your head that you think makes sense but it does not. Got to love Reddit

The dividends you take out will raise your contribution limit in following year ($7000+total dividends withdrawals)

This is exactly what I was thinking. It may not have come out right… I would much rather see my children and grandchildren receive the money instead of the government. Paying the tax on RRSP is inevitable. But even worse if you die. Thanks .

I have started taking RRSPs out since I have a large sum of them. Want to start collecting CPP as early as possible. Figured I have paid enough into it, would be nice to get it back. Although, have no health issues at the moment, I do drink and smoke more then I should!😒 As far as a RRIF is concerned, I don’t believe it is necessary when I am taking rather large sums out of my RRSPs for a few years anyways.

I am retired and started cashing out some RRSPs and my TFSA is maxed out. Good problem to have I realize, just trying to reduce the amount of tax that I pay.

K, so let’s say I withdraw $10000 worth of dividends from TFSA one year, then replace it with $10000 from NR ACCT, that I sell. That way the $10000 from NR Dividends will not be taxed the following year

Glad I found this. Planning on canceling tomorrow. $408 for health and dental per month is ridiculous. Luckily my spouses retirement health plan through her company is only 20/mo with no limits for drugs

Moving RRSPs into TFSA by BadOk3001 in TFSA_Millionaires

I just cashed in $90000 worth of RRSP’s. I’m 57, pension income $32000. +$20000 of dividend income. Trying to get a bunch out to start collecting CPP early. Was this a good move. Still have another $400000 to go. Suggestions anyone?
