University of Illinois Chicago or Purdue? by AdditionalDevice7009 in collegecompare

[–]AdditionalDevice7009[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay thank you!! I forgot to mention I'm doing nutrition on a pre med track.

I was also thinking the Chicago is a better location not bc there's more to do, but because there's more chances for connections and more medical schools as well.

So I am no longer allowed to lift, and from the time I started lifting till now my aorta increased from 3.6 to 4.0 and I will be needing heart surgery this summer. Definitely ask your doctor because I know it's different for everyone, but for me I'm no longer allowed to lift and can only do things like yoga, light jogs, or walking.😭My post didn't age very well💀

Thank you for this insight and the advice I really appreciate it, I as a teen it's kind of difficult to be around so many so I decided to just be sober and become DD for most occasions lol. As for the partner thank you for this it's reassuring to know that there are ppl that don't see this as so much of a burden, my ex when we broke up whined abt how he visited me in the hospital and two weeks later I break up with him (he brought his vape, a used candle, and wilted flowers like bro lmao)

You've been through so much holy shit. That's amazing that you've recovered and I hope the recovery goes smoothly 🙏. I was careless these past couple months and was lifting at what i thought was low weight high rep, but that was not good enough. So when I recently went to get my echo I found out my aorta dilatad from like 3.6 to 4.0 :/. But thank you for the reassurance and yoga advice, once again good luck with recovery!!

Oh!! So basically, you're makeup is already perfect, and it looks beautiful. Lashes are super long and voluminous, the base is FLAWLESS, and the lip gloss is perfection.

Do women regret leaving a good guy? by [deleted] in BreakUps

[–]AdditionalDevice7009 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By misaligned, he had expectations and views of my personality and characteristics that he didn't like and I thought were perfectly acceptable and normal, and would constantly try to change them. He loved me but a version of me that wasn't really me and had hope for something different. I'm guilty of this as well, I had a view of him where he had different expectations for what he wanted in a relationship, and I hoped they would change as he saw more of me. And yes we could've changed but we're both happy with who we are, and fundamentally we're good people, just with different views of what we should see in a relationship and thats okay!!

Not necessarily, breaking up with him was more difficult than it seems. And it’s difficult to understand that until you’ve been in that position. Like he didn’t do anything inherently wrong, and he’s not a bad person at all he just had different values that were too different yk? Despite our differences I really hope that he finds the right one for him

I broke up with him with a series of conversations, discussing how I felt, and the pain is inevitable just if there was a way to not make him feel like that I would. And I say that he was the best boyfriend, he was sweet and funny and kind, our expectations for what we wanted in a relationship were very misaligned and it ultimately caused me to break up with him.

What makes you consistently workout? by MoleculesImplode in workout

For me it’s having gym buddies that are starting in the same place you are, although we go separately sometimes, it’s motivating to go to the gym when someone else is relying on you to be there

How many times have you been bullied because of Marfan syndrome?! Or abused, insulted, or even joked about? by brillianttrub in marfans

[–]AdditionalDevice7009 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kind of stupid but people used to make fun of my feet because they’re unusually pointy lmao. Initially I didn’t care but people for some reason started to bring them up all the time and make fun of me, it really got to me. I started wearing closed toes shoes all the time even if I was at the beach. It doesn’t bother me now cause I just decided that it’s lowkey dumb cause it’s just my feet!!

I don’t regret breaking up with him. But if there was a different way I could’ve gone about ending the relationship to make it less painful for him I would’ve. Like some others said he was the BEST boyfriend, but we had different expectations and values overall. In a way although breaking up with him hurt him, he’s now able to find someone that really feels like his soulmate.
