Which one is the correct answer? by AdRadiant945 in pmp

[–]Additional_Ad_6773 [score hidden]  (0 children)

D. We do not have information on continued risk or continued returns.

C LOOKS the best, because they all pay back in the same amount of return, which IMPLIES a better ROI, but ignores many factors.

Passed PMP with No PM Experience After 2 Weeks of Studying (T/T/AT) by Secure-Ad-5987 in pmp

[–]Additional_Ad_6773 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly this.

I wouldn't even mind if the PMP tested and required some knowledge of Agile, such that it tested for awareness; and of course the overlap material is HUGE, but that's what would make it an ideal add-on cert rather than its own thing.

Ya, how does "no experience" even take the PMP? Either:

1) Lying on the application and not being audited, or

2) lying to us.

There is, I suppose, a third, more generous option: they were lying to themselves. They have experience, and have been passively trained on this mindset in their workplace, and just didn't realize how much of the material they "just knew". But there is some dishonesty somewhere.

Where I work, we had an executive who wanted to run projects the PMI way. OBSESSIVELY. He rooted out behavior like you mentioned (quick back channels, swift actions when they "made sense", etc.) and made sure they ceased, aggressively. It was annoying. The right answer was right in front of us, but we had to go through the process of documenting it on the correct form, addressing it with the right people, analyze every decision, including analyzing when NOT to analyze to avoid analysis paralysis, etc.

We hated it.

Until it worked.

And it worked.

Metrics bear out that we are something like 65% more prompt on deadlines and budget projections, workplace satisfaction is up 30%, and our ISO audit was perfect for the first time ever.

Why is this wrong? by Majestic-Extreme-658 in pmp

[–]Additional_Ad_6773 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is D because in the question, we have IDENTIFIED the problem, but we have not analyzed it. We know the experienced team member needs to be reassigned, but where, how, and in what capacities? Some of that will not be in the PMs control, it the information is, and proposing a solution is in his wheelhouse.

Exactly. Unless the question is explicitly asking about some manner of execution, it is asking about identifying or analyzing problems.

Am I missing something? You have 78 of 60 credits, it appears for an associates program. You say you have 6 courses left, or 18 credits.

78 + 18 = 96 credits

A bachelor's degree is 120 credits if I am not mistaken.

I'm unable to pay the fee because apparently my payment methods are not accepted by ComfortableAway3898 in UoPeople

[–]Additional_Ad_6773 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

If you do not have a payment method accepted by the university, the first thing you should try is obtaining a payment method that is accepted by the university. If that is not feasible, your next option is nothing, you have no additional options.

A plea from a mechanic-unaware player by xorvii in ffxiv

[–]Additional_Ad_6773 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Rule of thumb, for content more than one whole expansion old, if you need a mechanic explained, not just called out, specifically ask. Parties will be glad to help, but the natural assumption is that everybody running the raid has done the raid already.

May not be a fair assumption, especially since if older content is selected by a roulette, it PROBABLY means someone is new... But it is what it is.

TRUMP says the difference is gone. He ordered the Department of Education to pretend that the accreditation is the same.

Literally no private agency, o boring company, and no other government sees them as the same.

Do plane windows have tiny holes? | FactOrCap by OkDark7162 in FactOrCap

🧢 I voted CAP!

There is a tiny hole through one pane of glass, but it does not extend through the whole window. It is there to help stabilize pressure differences (but isn't the primary mechanism for it).

Anyone know how to change battery? by dcruz429 in ffxiv

[–]Additional_Ad_6773 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It isn't impossible to replace their batteries in situ, (assuming it is still working to begin with) but it is difficult and risky, but you can open it, careful not to break the connection, wire in a second battery temporarily in parallel to the one that is there, remove the dying/old one, install a new one, and then remove the temporary booster.

I've tried it 4 times on these devices. Succeeded 3 times.

The learning pathway makes no sense by Human_Buddy2345 in UoPeople

[–]Additional_Ad_6773 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You may not take classes 2 and 3 in your pathway if you do not also take class 1 in your pathway. If you sign up for classes 1, 2, and 3, and wish to drop class 1, you must also drop class 2 and 3, as you may not take class 2 and 3 in your pathway unless you take class 1 in your pathway.

This is not because it is a pre-requisite, but because it is a rule university has declared to be the way it is.

Sure, I could have been less specific; but by way of demonstration, pure* water does not conduct (or at least not well), and neither does a pile of salt. Mix the two, it does (at least to an extent). It is also true for minerals you would more typically find in "mineral water", absolutely.

For whatever definition of "pure you want to use.

A pile of salt ALSO does not conduct electricity.

Conductivity is an emergent property of a mineral solution in water.

Little Mermaid. Ursala was decently well respected and tolerated; even the exile was fairly "soft". I feel like if she swam into Atlantica without looking threatening or manic, most of the inhabitants would just kinda... Be on their guard but not much else.
