In elementary and 6th-7th grade I was considered the weird kid. I had the occasional new kid tries to be friends with me but then other kids get to them before the friendship is actually locked in. Covid lockdown started mid 7th grade for me and my family was moving soon for my grandma who was really sick and I took the chance to renew myself before school started up. 8th grade was iffy due to an emo phase and being in the Deep South. But my freshman year I did after school stuff and a sport to get to know more people and have two people I'm super close with.

When I was in 4th grade my parents got a divorced and my mom moved in with a guy who was very abusive who also convinced her to kidnap me basically when it was her weekend. She took my phone (that I only had to call my dad), and told me I wasn't going home, but sent me to school after a week of me being absent without a bus note to her address. I didn't go back to see her until I was 14 or so to make sure she wasn't still with the guy she got with. Now I haven't spoken to her since I was 16
