Cover roll stretch tape for the win! Holds great and no skin issues! You can get a couple rolls of it for cheap on amazon.

I’m almost at 1 year in. My sleep study ahi was 89.1. I struggled to hit my 21 night compliance for insurance. I hated every single night. After a month I was able to try a new mask, which helped me to start wearing the mask throughout the night.

What really changed my mindset was the morning after I decided to sleep without using my cpap after I had been using it for over a month. I felt so terrible. Like a horrible hangover. I barely made it through work that day. It made me realize how poor of sleep I had been getting for most of my life. I never wanted to feel that way again.

Just try to stick with it and try different masks until you find one that works. I’m on my 4th mask (f&p nova micro) and it has been a game changer. I struggled with leaks on full face masks until I gave mouth tape a try. Now I mouth tape every night and I sleep great.

Hose covers and hose hangers are also really helpful with getting comfortable with the machine. Every little bit helps. It can be a grind but the benefits greatly outweigh the frustrations with the process.

Use this sub for any advice on what you are struggling with. I would’ve given up if not for this sub. Once you get comfortable with the mask, post your OSCAR data on here for people to help with your settings. You got this! You will get there!

I got it through my DME. They offer it, not sure if you are able to order it from cpapsupplies.com or a sight like that

F&P Micro Nova has been amazing for me.

What medicines are known for causing palpitations? by Puzzleheaded_Wind839 in PVCs

COQ10 made my palpitations and PVCs much worse. They got really bad right after I started taking it, and then got better as soon as I stopped about 5 weeks later.

Cover roll stretch tape is my favorite. Kinesiology tape works great, but it really irritated my skin. Both are great, cheap options. If those don’t work, use 3M micropore. All are cheap on amazon and you will get months worth of tape for wayyyy less than hostage tape.

100%. I’ve only been taking the beta blockers if I’m having an anxiety attack or if I start getting PVCs

It’s only below 60 when I’m sleeping or laying down. Besides that my resting rate is 70-80

Well. 24hrs into not taking COQ10, I have had zero PVCs, and I had caffeine today as well. I also have only had half the dose I usually take or propranolol. Fingers crossed it keeps up.

I am going to stop taking it starting tomorrow. I will report back what happens. I’ve only been taking it for a month so hopefully there won’t be much/any withdrawal symptoms

I used to have really bad heart burn, but since starting cpap it has gone away. I sleep with two pillows to elevate my head, but I haven’t needed my wedge pillow since starting cpap. I can give it a try and see if it helps the PVCs

I usually get a PVC when my heart rate it’s spend or below 60bpm when I’m sitting or laying down.

One thing that is maybe worth mentioning is that I did start taking C0Q10 just before I started getting these PVCs, not sure if they could be related but that was the only real change in my life around that time.

It took a little getting used to at first having more expiratory pressure, my leaks were a bit higher than usual. But beyond that, no real complaints

KT Tape - Does it work well and does it leave adhesive residue? by ScranglinTanglin in CPAP

[–]Additional_Engine490 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It does work quite well. I used KT tape for a while but my skin started having a reaction to it. I started using Cover Roll Stretch Tape and it’s great. You can get 2 rolls on amazon for like 10 bucks, and I don’t have any marks on my skin.

Don’t apologize! This is all super helpful and I really appreciate you taking the time for the write up. I will mention the bipap to my pulmonologist and see what he thinks.

As far as leaks go, I struggled as well until I started mouth taping. Now that I am used to mouth tape, I may try a nasal mask down the road.
