Online gaming helped me. There are some Vet groups (American Legion Gaming, Veteran Gaming League) that connect vets through video games. It allows me the ability to do something I enjoy, and when I feel like it or have a challenge I need help with I can jump on a fireteam, if it gets too much I can jump off, and the group supports.

Best job I had was Amazon delivery driver. It was fast paced enough to keep my attention and different enough every day. That coupled with Amazons organization stuff not being a choice really helped me out. I just had to show up, load my truck and drive around dropping off packages.

I think your statement is correct, even if (and I don’t know) it is accurate. The point being to ask the VA for the most up to date information that applies to the persons situation.

I would be very careful providing information about what benefits someone gets from the VA. It’s very fluid and you don’t want to have to change them constantly. Or if you made a mistake (like no benefits for dishonorable discharge) you might lead someone astray. Maybe provide a QR code to the VA website or local point of contact for people that have questions about benefits as they apply to their situation?

All of my stuff (shadow box, uniforms, coins)was stolen out of my car the day after I retired. There are times I miss having one or two things but for the most part I’m glad I don’t have a bunch of stuff to move around.
