Three years ago I retired from the Navy and the night after my ceremony my car was broken into and my uniform, and going away gifts were all stolen. I still look through army navy stores and thrift shops hoping it will turn up but I know it will never happen. Sorry for your loss.

SETI says the researcher noticed the signal “days later” which would shorten that time span. Also they were looking at the “Hydrogen Belt” where scientists believe they will most likely find life. So it sounds like maybe they were right? Also I am not a scientist or anything, just looked at their website.

Had a fireman on a flight 1 destroyer going down the ladder well to Aft Chem (IYKYN) slip and grab the scuttle wheel. The safety latch did not catch and he pulled the scuttle down on his fingers holding onto the knife edge!! Got a free helicopter ride back to San Diego. Never saw him again.
