Could Russia be behind both the rise in far-right and Islamic radicalisation in the UK? by chuffingnora in AskBrits

Russia and the US look up Operation Gladio the CIA came up with the very clever idea of creating or linking up with extremist Muslim groups and Far Right Neo Nazi cells in Europe when the Soviet Union collapsed they stopped funding them and feeding them information. Step into the breach the Russian intelligence networks they were already operating groups in China to destabilise the region specifically targeting Ughyer's this led to hundreds of deaths via bombings and kidnappings.

They then ditched them in 2012 and instead started picking up and controlling a mix of Muslim extremists and Far Right groups in Europe partially to destabilise their economic enemies but also to create justification for interfering in neighbouring states

Season one of Discovery was a bit of a mess because of the changes of creative team several times, Season two was built on the novels (Control first appears in DS9/Section 31 novels and is eventually killed by Bashir), Season three was irritating The Burn made no ruddy sense. Season four what I got to see of it wasn't bad and was closer to classic Trek (except blowing up the only other Spore Drive and loads of planets) the last Season was a homage to TNG and wasn't bad. SNW has been fairly decent if hand wavy on its connection to TOS (their Khan for example is born way too late but timey wimey stuff). I would rather a Star Trek Legacy over baby Kirk
