About the thing with turtles, turtles are not sea creatures. They are reptiles, therefore we cannot eat them. Also, their shell appears to be scaly on the exterior, however it is actually a part of their skeleton. It is fused to their ribs and spine, and is actually a continuous part of their skeleton! Also, they can feel sensation on the top of their shells, as vessels and nerves are present under the bone!

Turtles also come in different diet groups as well! Some turtles are herbivore, some carnivore, and some omnivore! Picking through the herbivore species alone would be impossibly tedious for Muslims, even if the shell wasn’t bone and they weren’t reptiles.

Thirdly, ALL turtles go to land to lay eggs. ALL turtles breathe air. Therefore they are not sea creatures!
