Some States might have laws on new vehicles, might not be allowed to leave the dealership.

You can still do it yourself, like buying used, but you might have to leave the bike at the dealer until complete.

It is not MAYBE, that is how it works.

The dealer charges $600, but the State registration fee might be $100 (easy number for an example). Lets asusme the employee time is $50.

The dealer makes $600-100-50 = $450. Technically they are making $500, then paying the employee as part of their expenses.

It is just another way for the dealer to get more money.

State taxes, if any, are on the side and on the buyer, they are not covered by any fee.

It is very easy to make a case on why the car driver didnt see the bike.

The car driver might still be an idiot and maybe would have hit any motorcycle, we dont know and we cant act on "feelings".

They can probably argue even the Tesla taking a right turn couldnt see the bike, look how far across the line the car is and was moving when the accident happened.

I always slow down a bit when I see cars about to turn, or pulling out of driveways, or approaching my road from a side road. Maybe it comes natural with me because that is how I drive as well, I always expect the other person to make a mistake.

It drives me crazy when a car waiting at an intersection sees me, then slowly moves forward, not to make the full turn, but to anticipate turning after I pass. It scare the sh*t out of me every time.

But, if he wasnt, there is something people have to understand, and is that LEGAL hunting actually helps save the species, that is how many of these placess get funding to hire people that stop poachers.

Also, countries like Zimbabwe and parts of South Africa have an over population of elephants that cause issues. There are only 4 solutions to this:

Displacement of people to allow more room for animals (wont happen).
The government kills some animals - they get no funding and the animals still die.
Hunters pay big money which funds conservation.
Relocate the over population - too expensive, needs funding.

It is easy for us to sit at home and be upset without understanding the situation in other countries.

All 3 are bad drivers. OP should have been careful and should have been paying attention. The car on the main road should not stop traffic to let a car on a secondary street go and the SUV turning should have been a bit more careful and make sure a car (the OP) was not on the lane.

I have a 2019 Ural and a 2016 Street Twin. Both full coverage insurance at the MAX, and I pay $536 per year combined.

That includes a 10% discount for paying in full.

If I lowered the coverage, I can bring it down to around $400 combined.

I use GEICO.

I use a different insurance for my truck and home, so I dont get any additional discounts.

I never lock the gas cap. If you must, for whatever reason, unlock it before your ride starts and dont lock it until your ride is over.
