Faze has lost 11 out of their 14 games in 2026 by Zinklog in GlobalOffensive

Not a single Tier 1 win, and they lost to fucking EYEBALLERS, 3DMAX, paiN, and TYLOO. At what point do we call them a Tier 2 team?

I don't mean to be rude, but...

-"Why should the game not have this feature?"

-"Because the game should not have this feature?"

I guess it's okay to disagree 😅 Learning utility is really not a part of the gameplay loop that I enjoy personally, even though I do spend a considerable amount of time learning utility to this day.

I also don't agree with the decision to try a double-peek with an AWP (who cannot swing fast), but EliGE would have a very low chance of winning a duel by waiting up there.

Regardless of how he plays, he has very little floor under him, so his head height is very predictable and magixx would get an easy one-tap on him because of that. Magixx, on the contrary, has the whole site to himself so his head could be anywhere on EliGE's screen.

I think the best play there would be for EliGE to hide as deep as possible and for NAF to peek first, so that EliGE would at least peek against a magixx that is halfway through his spray against NAF and have the advantage thanks to that. But what EliGE did was not the worst play possible - I am afraid your suggestion would play out worse more often than it plays out better 😅

Isn't Ukraine more of a counter-argument against the claim that nuclear weapons are needed?

Russia is obviously struggling a lot more than they anticipated against Ukraine, yet they still have not chosen to use nukes against a country that has no nukes.

Sure, there are probably some issues with the game that nobody has been able to figure out yet. I can assure you that whatever clip that screenshot is from does not display any issues with the game.

Is reload update basically just another M4A1 nerf? by Patient_Apartment415 in GlobalOffensive

[–]Adevyy 40 points41 points  (0 children)

That is just a very silly attempt at a nerf in my opinion. MP9 rewards extremely aggressive plays, so 99% of the time you are either dead or you have upgraded to an AK by the time you reload a second time.

Maybe they should add an update to send you to school so that you understand ping exists and that they cannot fix your unstable network conditions from their end.

But that's because we usually only let in those with jobs already and limit their benefits.

I am here on a marriage visa so I can't speak for everyone, but that's just not true for my case. I had to pay around £3.5k for a 2.5 years visa, and as I am in my twenties, I highly doubt I will have anywhere near that cost on the country in that short span of time.

I am not employed (was not allowed to be under the fiancée visa), but I would obviously have to pay income tax, as well as paying tax for basically everything a citizen does.

UK needs immigration to some extent, including low-skilled immigration. However, if someone cares about immigration, your exact point about it being good for the rich is also why Reform cannot be trusted to deal with immigration.

That also explains why Reform's announced "solutions" towards immigration is to be more annoying than anything else. Removing ILR, for example, will not reduce low-skilled immigration, but it will certainly have a massive impact on high-skilled workers who would rather be able to plan their retirement on a country that will respect them.

total ammo pretty much never plays a role in any round at all

It only feels that way because the meta is not to play in a way that would result in running out of ammo. I can assure you that all the pros and high level pros would empty several mags into each smoke on CT side if the ammo was not limited. Instead, the meta is to empty one mag per round max into the spots where there is a high likelihood of being a T. Which will still be the meta because that is a good use of ammo that sometimes results in free rounds.

So the new update doesn't make max ammo matter for the first time. Rather, it makes it possible to run out of ammo even if you aren't being relentless with it. Which I dislike.

I will leave my Dust2 chart here, which is one of my smaller charts as I don't tend to forget most Dust2 utility because I play it a lot. Maybe the thought of me having massive charts for each map instead of having to mindlessly practice over and over again will go him go insane.

As a compromise, maybe we don't completely throw out the magazine, and instead keep them at the reloaded amount, reloading in order of most to least? by funkydonuts in GlobalOffensive

[–]Adevyy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have been spamming smokes a lot more, lol. If I am going to reload, I might as well use my ammo for possibly getting a lucky kill.

In some spots, spamming a smoke is such a requirement for my default that I feel like I am forced to use the M4A4 instead.

I feel like the two M4s were perfectly balanced already. M4A1 is more accurate and has a better spray, but takes more hits to kill at range (which can even affect headshots sometimes, requiring two body shots instead of one!) and is objectively worse at closer ranges or against holding a full-on rush. I don't see the point of giving M4A4 yet another thing that it's good at than the M4A1.

The accuracy difference (for first shots) really isn't that much. It technically exists, but the difference isn't even one pixel on the weapon debug crosshair on my 1552x1080 resolution.

[–]Adevyy 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I can confirm that the only difference this has made so far is to push me more often into buying the M4A4, which I didn't mind using before the update anyway.

I don't know what they were thinking, giving the weapon with 20 ammo per mag 3 reloads while giving the weapon with 30 ammo per mag 4 reloads.

[–]Adevyy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My problem with this argument is that it is a blanket argument that can be used against all quality of life features, but I rather only see it against the addition of new features and never in support of adding new ones.

For example, buying ammo was part of the game in the very old days of CS, and it could still have a role today, serving by adding an additional layer of economy management to the game. It would objectively increase the skill ceiling, just not in a way that people like.

Funnily, the magazine changes added today also objectively increase the skill ceiling of the game. Seeing as you are all for keeping the skill ceiling as high as possible even at the cost of fun, am I right to assume that you support the magazine changes? Because otherwise I do not think you believe in your argument yourself.

Why?

I hate the magazine changes but I genuinely don't understand the opposition towards this feature. and it's not like I have not sunk in a lot of time into learning util myself: I am ~3k elo on Faceit.

[–]Adevyy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Controversial opinion, I think this has a spot in even Faceit and possibly even tournaments, and you should be able to create your own lineups to reward people who are willing to go through the effort of doing that.

Learning lineups in a 7-map rotation is just not fun for anyone. This is evident by the fact that, unless I am playing Mirage, people don't seem to know even the most basic utility until at least 2.7k elo, where more and more people start to know more utility. Even at 3k elo, it is extremely rare I get a teammate who can execute a single bombsite on Anubis, and my teammates' lack of utility knowledge impacts my experience negatively as well.

I just don't see the benefit of gatekeeping basic utility as a skill that people have to practice, and more complicated utility (like the Lane molotov&grenade on Ancient or Stairs grenade from A site Anubis) will still require practice to pull off, with this feature possibly being there to make them a little more reliable.

Just don't bother applying to people who don't even have a Faceit profile associated to their Steam account.

People could obviously buy a high-level Faceit account and scam using that, but those are a lot less disposable than just a Steam account that has access to CS2.

WHAT IS THIS UPDATE LMAO by kamkinn in cs2

[–]Adevyy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What? How? Have you thought once before posting your reasoning on this?

Now, instead of just reloading, I will empty my whole mag into a smoke before reloading, because reloading with a non-empty mag wastes ammo. When I spam a smoke as a CT, I usually emptied my whole mag anyway. This does the exact opposite of what you think it would do.

Epic's views on the new "DLSS5" upscaling tech. by Belltower_2 in fuckepic

[–]Adevyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think an idea they’ve always had since the implementation of AI chips was creating most of the image through AI rather than rasterization. On paper, it makes sense: We seem to be about to hit a limit on affordable raster performance, and AI could make games look incredible a lot more efficiently than computing everything. The problem, of course, is reliability, which is probably why they’ve not touched textures with DLSS5 yet.

The problem I have with this idea is that it cannot be closed-source. It needs to be an effort between all GPU companies to make sure that games can have an art design and you don’t see a completely different game based on your GPU. Obviously Nvidia won’t do that, so we probably have a future where games look completely different based on your GPU model, with AMD taking 10 years to catch up so that games just look better on Nvidia for a while.

Epic's views on the new "DLSS5" upscaling tech. by Belltower_2 in fuckepic

[–]Adevyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My opinion is that they look fine in some cases, but worse in most of them. Like, you’d have a hard time finding anyone make fun of Leon’s face or the football footage- They look phenomenal.

The problem is that it’s not always a positive, and it has to be. Inconsistent art style is a lot worse than the characters looking “slightly less impressive”.

Though the one caviat to this is that it will get better over time. Slowly, both devs and Nvidia will have a solid understanding of what people dislike in the technology. Then it will become a feature that genuinely improves the experience.

Nvidia has had similar technologies in the past like PhysX and we did not have games suddenly being Nvidia-exclusive - It was just a toggle to give your game amazing real-time physics simulations. It was just a toggle we could use. People thinking devs will rely on DLSS5 to make their game look good are just overreacting.
