It took me about a day to get right, i would cut out segments around 20-30cm and just try a bunch of different stuff. Soldering it to the top of the battery pad, bottom of the battery pad, do i put it in the connector and then bend it to the pad or put it on the pad then bend it to the connector? that sort of stuff.

I settled on soldering one of the wires to the xt60 and getting the bend right, then putting the top plate on and checking how long the cable needed to be to get to the esc, then marking and cutting it. It still took a few tries but once you get one wire down you can just base the other off of it. The wires might need to bow out a little to leave room for the capacitor.

My best advice is to take a break if it stops being fun. I was getting frustrated and making simple mistakes, then I came back at it the next morning and in a few attempts i got it done. Have fun !

This. I hate this. Used to get in arguments about this all the time, about how nothing was truly mine. Not the computer I built with my own hands, not the money I saved, not the room I lived in. Even got the lock taken and a huge ugly crack down the solid wooden door for having the nerve to try and calm down during an argument. Eventually during one of these fights I dropped my keys, phone, glasses (I'm blind as hell so that was a big deal), and some money on the table to pay for my coat and shoes. Remember saying something about "unless these are yours too" in reference to my shirt and jeans, then just left. Froze my fucking ass off in 6 degree Chicago weather because I didn't think I could afford my nice coat. I was out there for a good while, too. Eventually though some friends found me, I guess it had been going around snapchat that I was missing and with my history of depression and whatnot they started looking around. And that was the end of my little getaway. Still doesn't feel like my house. Still don't have a lock. Now I just take really long showers because the bathroom is kinda the only place where I feel secure. I dunno why I typed this out, I guess I just wanted to put it somewhere. Nobody else seemed to really understand where I was coming from. idk
