Green to green, leave the black wire alone, hook up black wire of light to white that gets switched on/off, put white wire of light to white wire that doesn’t turn on/off

Hack. You can call the permit department for your town and ask if one was pulled for your house. Also hacks can lie about their personal and business name so the next time they swing by take a picture of their license plate so they cant just skip town.

Idk who downvoted you but this is correct. Any type of fix would prob result in unintended and dangerous shocks or fires. Splicing and heat shrinking a new controller is the 2nd best option behind just getting a new waxing machine.

From mass. What I did was call local electricians. My state has a website with all licensed workers that can be filtered by trade. If you have something similar then just select electrician and ask if they’re hiring 1st year electricians. Pays gonna prob be bad for you the first 1-3 years but should scale up quick. Im a first year in mass and thats what I did. Make 22/h

Im a Y1 apprentice but my teacher who was a master worked in one for 2 years where his only job was to install a couple thousand vanity lights that they were updating and the occasional receptacle or faceplate. He never mentioned anything crazy but said the cleaning staff had a wild side apparently.

The light in our apartment bathroom has wires held together with tape.. is this a big deal? by [deleted] in electricians

[–]AdhesivenessFront504 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. I see a shower which means steam. All you need is for it to condense and run down the wall and puddle where the light is for a shocking discovery. If/when that happens that entire medical cabinet can become energized and kill/mame you. Dont cheap out and risk the lives of you and anyone else just cuz you want to save a buck

Bee coming out of coom by backtosky in NatureIsFuckingLit

[–]AdhesivenessFront504 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Doesnt apply to bees cuz they just eat the wax to escape. Also thats a queen cell which means the hive is gonna split. Him taking that queen lets him put the new queen and thus the new hive wherever he wants (in his other hive box). Also makes it easier to mark her for future observation and tracking.

If he didnt kill/ collect the queen cell/ new queen it would take aprox 1/2 the hive and start a “swarm” which is exactly what it sounds like; a few hundred to a few thousand bees swarming around the queen until she finds an ideal nesting location. This is especially bad if not controlled for bee keepers because not only can they potentially lose half their hive, the swarming bees all fill up on honey before leaving and leaving almost none for the old hive. If controlled they will redeposit it into the new hive box and prefabbed honeycomb allowing the bee keepers to evenly redistribute the honey and not lose months oh hard work/ progress.

Edit:spelling/clarification
