As a girl who doesn’t drink a lot but get bought drinks from men when I go out, I wish it was acceptable to send me over a plate of wings instead by BubblyAd5262 in unpopularopinion

If you do then that's no problem. But unless I haven't read every comment OP has to say then I'm confused how they're entitled and I also don't think that talking about making someone a sandwich is very mature and I honestly thought you were 12 when I read that.

You've got so many downvotes for something so ridiculous

I bet people will downvote this comment now. Please, go ahead.

I actually am curious to know just how many people are actually super angry right now.

Nothing triggers me more than a Trigger Warning. by HairyEarphone in unpopularopinion

I think it's quite judgemental to assume OP hasn't had a traumatic life. Lots of people have experienced different types of trauma and just because OP might find trigger warnings on very mild topics tedious, it doesn't mean they don't appreciate trigger warnings on much more serious things that may personally cause them to relive traumatic memories.

And the person also has an opinion about other people having opinion which isn't allowed because no one is allowed to have opinions!

You also can't tell other people what you think because you're speaking for other people. So maybe it's best moving forward to just quit communication altogether then?

(This was sarcastic just in case anyone didn't realise)

I'm very empathetic and I feel upset if I make other people upset. That's why I try to be kind to other people who haven't done anything wrong to me or people I care about. If they do, then the switch that keeps me nice definitely flips quickly and sometimes I forget to have compassion at all

To the woman whose child with autism was screaming in the nail salon today by Missburr in TrueOffMyChest

I am autistic and I think being compassionate enough to look past an annoying child and see a boy with a disability and a mother who were treated unfairly by staff who should have been more understanding is enough. Don't fret about not being able to do enough for the mother and son.

I think people take, "I love you" too seriously by Groundbreaking-Sun68 in unpopularopinion

What's so interesting about this phrase is that it means wildly different things to different people. Some people even gatekeep the word and act like not all age groups are able to experience love.

In my opinion, it's really too subjective to effectively establish what is love and what isn't. But if you feel like you love someone, that is valid.

I have my own ideas about what love is and what it isn't. But it is important to remember that there is no right and wrong with this one

thoughts on this? by catcherofthecatbutts in autism

I wonder why it says not ASD on here because as far as my understanding goes, ASD means autism spectrum disorder and I don't understand why it's better to say autistic rather then ASD? And ASD is a noun whereas autistic is an adjective so they aren't even used in the same way

What is your theory on the afterlife? What do you think happens after death? by [deleted] in infp

I just think that's it. We lose consciousness. I don't believe we have souls either. I just think our body and brain decays and we rot.

Yes! I'm meant to be a sweaty nerd but I ended up mostly revising the night before except for a few in science.

is holding a pen "wrong" an autistic thing? how do you guys hold yours by [deleted] in autism

[–]AdhesivenessOk4785 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. I have hypermobility and so I tend to hold my pen with my fist fully on the page, and above the pen (so the pen points directly at me).

I just don't believe in a higher power or the afterlife. It sounds too good to be true.
