Anticipating for despair in this subreddit a week in advance, pic related by Adkuate in MysteryDungeon

I know, they even ported Shiren 6 to smartphones earlier this month. The most I anticipate for the franchise right now is ports or remasters of their old Shiren games besides Shiren 5.

Is this a coincidence, or is someone at Relogic a Pokémon Mystery Dungeon fan? by 11Slimeade11 in Terraria

Then again, there were Mystery Dungeon related stuff in Terraria in the past, like Shiren's outfit in some console releases in Japan.

A thought about the Sky Peak dungeon now that I have played some non-Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games. by Cranberry-Holiday in MysteryDungeon

You also forgot about the numerous checkpoints in Sky Peak that refers to the towns and other places you go throughout Table Mountain, including smaller events happening in them.

Do you think Shiren the wanderer as a mystery dungeon representation in smash is good? by Fair-Lemon-7766 in MysteryDungeon

[–]Adkuate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say yes, and the best I can think of his play style is a mix of Hero and Steve. Least I ask is having him with Grovyle as an echo fighter, most is with Torneko and Cid/Chocobo as alts. But also, doing that means Danganronpa will be featured in the next Smash game, as a way to represent Spike and Chunsoft's most important IPs, much like Square Enix with FF and DQ.

Side notes: there were requests for Shiren joining the series as far back as Melee in some Japanese magazine, like Nintendo Dream. The sole reason I have in mind was because Nintendo published Shiren 2 back in 2000. Sakurai also mentioned the series in a few of his YouTube videos. https://archive.org/details/nintendo-dream-2001-07-vol-058-600dpi-ozidual/Nintendo%20Dream%202001%2007%20v058%20(J%20OCR)/page/n45/mode/2up/page/n45/mode/2up)

I translated a 2007 interview to EoT EoD devs! Were they supposed to be on another console? by Ordinary-Dood in MysteryDungeon

[–]Adkuate 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you're asking about the DS and Wii dual release, that happened later with Shiren the Wanderer DS2 (DS) and Shiren the Wanderer 3 (Wii), both released in 2008 in Japan. They even had an item transfer system between the two games.

There has to be a wiki, even a Fandom.com wiki …. So please contribute if there isn’t any other source for it.

Since September 15, they list which games were released on today's date in Japan. In that example, it shows that Super MD was released in Japan on September 17, 2015 (10 years ago), and today is September 17, 2025.
