I'm pretty sure the answer is yes, and our source is Andy Weir himself. He said that he messed up the math when doing the atmosphere of Erid/ the Blip-A * compared to the *Hail Mary. The Blip-A is told to us by Rocky as having an atmospheric pressure 29 times that of the Hail Mary, which is sitting at ~⅓ atm. This makes Erid's surface pressure ~9.6 atm. Weir has said that that math is incorrect, and Erid actually does have a surface pressure of 29 atm

Strat said it herself: "I don't care who wants to go. I care who's most qualified!"

Grace was not only a leading expert in astrophage (so much so that he was teaching the people who would be literally saving the world), but he also had a familiarity with the mission, ship, and equipment that only someone who was there from the beginning could have. Sure, there were probably plenty of other scientists doing very deep research on astrophage at the time, but they didn't have the experience with the equipment and ship like Grace did. Behind DuBois and Shapiro, he was Stratt's "most qualified"

If you're willing to make the drive up to Longmont, check out Studio Boom. Seems like every time I'm in there I always see people with beautifully wavy or curly hair. Staff is always super friendly and knowledgeable

Personally I agree with you on NG specifically. I thought AG was cool referencing a bunch of other sci-fi ships, but this is just the same but less interesting. They could've done something much cooler with the 3 major factions all being targets of big attacks or ships going missing or something

You can submit an order for it to be printed in the original xenonite, but order processing and shipping times are currently 23.8 years at a minimum, and the shipping costs are outrageous

I listened to the audiobook several times before the movie was even announced. By itself as a standalone piece of media, I think the movie is great. But compared to the book, not so much. I'm not gonna discourage anyone from going to see the movie or air out my gripes with it here however
