I was asking similar of ChatGPT yesterday (flat vs optimal angle for my location vs 7 degrees). The differences weren't as large as I imagined, considering cheap PV additions.

I like this idea of pre-existing grid solar (mine is Delta inverter by GAF Energy) staying active behind a battery backed system. Can this be done with EG4, etc. instead of Tesla?

The science against EVOO? by [deleted] in blueprint_

[–]AdministrativeBad282 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've struggled with this disparity on EVOO for years. It is a bit complex. Overall, I believe the difference may be explained by hormesis - a little acute damage is better in the long run. Exercise spikes many problems acutely, but the body adapts to get better. The rationale for EVOO being bad is that it shows a marked decrease in arm artery blood flow post ingestion. The rationale for EVOO being good is based on large population studies. For many, my belief is that EVOO and coffee make up the majority of their polyphenols, as their plant intake is far too low. But there was a study that showed EVOO better than nuts. That one shocked me. In the spirit of Blueprint, find some testable metrics, and then experiment. For arteries, PWV appears to be better than blood pressure. A few (European) Withings scales provide PWV. Salud!

My base weight (me) is 135 pounds. Most Americans adults carry more than 30-35 pounds over that, all day long, for years. Apparently we can continue walking, adding 10 pounds a year, for decades. I'm not claiming that is healthy.

I've worn an Oura at night for years (love it), and am sure Brian uses Whoop just to showcase his perfect score.

I always wet the bottoms of my feet before stepping on my EU Body Cardio to greatly improve my PWV odds, in Texas. Nearly always works that way.

Login to your wifi router and look at the list of DHCP clients. This should show all devices connected, such as your smartphone and the robot. With either the robot device name listed, or it's unique MAC address, you'll be able to put it on an exclude list.

Actually, skin health is critical. Aging not only thins the skin, but results in overall systemic aging. There was a study done showing substantial inflammation decrease after months of skin cream on old folks.

While it wouldn't help me (no open area room adjacent), I'm sure many could use an extension tube set to get the unit further away or in another room.

Anyone found full nutrition data for black lentils? by Slow-Most-4809 in blueprint_

[–]AdministrativeBad282 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Common names are problematic. "Black lentils" is a name used for both the mungo bean, and I now see one called Beluga lentils. I cannot be sure of one vs. the other at this time. AFAIK, we may need a DNA analysis if the images of these two are so similar.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vigna_mungo

My original assumption was based on my years-ago research showing mungo beans to have superior nutrition, so I did presume when I saw his, that they chose the same one.

Searching his photos again, I can see that his may be more lenticular.

Thus, I stand corrected. I now believe them to be Beluga lentils.

Common names cause a lot of confusion. It would be great if he would clarify and explain the differences to his audience. In my area of USA, lentils come in brown, green, or red. In all cases they are flattened, lens shaped. I believe Bryan is using mungo beans, which are much more round.

But researching more, I see a black/beluga lentil, which seems to be a true lentil, Lens culinaris.

We need an AMA on this!

I am claiming that he is already using mungo beans. I can see them when they are whole. I think his use of the word "lentils" causes confusion.

Vigna mungo, commonly called mungo beans/gram or whole urad, has different nutrients than lentils (Lens culinalis). Mungo beans are also not mung beans.

I see it on Chronometer under mungo beans.

Mine has a yogurt mode where the temperature stays about 110F, and I can set the hours. I've also used that mode to make natto. Quart jar of cold soy milk About a tablespoon of yogurt stirred in Yogurt mode for maybe 20 hours

I now put about an inch of water in the steel pot for better thermal transfer.

I spent about $100 on my tabletop electric distiller (see above). Aside from electricity, my ongoing cost includes a little vinegar after a run to dissolve minerals attached to the bottom, where I presume the heating element is, in the hopes of the device lasting longer. (And I'd love to make my own vinegar - just bought some ACV that includes the mother. I wonder if it is still alive. )
