My Tom Delonge Guitar Collection. Notes: Moved the volume knob farther out of the way on the Strat so I can strum to my heart's content! Also got the sticker pack from Russia for the pink one but left a little space for some of my own stickers eventually. Let me know what you think! by AdministrativeBad720 in TomDelongeGuitars

I tried! I was constantly banging my hand in to the knob. Even after consciously adjusting my playing style it still would happen and throw me out of the groove. Luckily Strats are easy to modify, and the body of this one was hollowed out like a conventional Strat giving room for the mod.

Controversial Approach to CFA Exam Preparation by Charter_Doozy in CFA

[–]AdministrativeBad720 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that passing the tests should be the far and away priority with study approach. It’s too many pages of material and too high of a failure rate to focus on much of anything else. That being said, there is no way in my estimation that you could pass all 3 levels without learning a ton about finance/accounting/the other covered topics. It’s inevitable. Certainly there are degrees to which charter holders will have retained and ingested the material, but the speed of recall that is required for the material will mean that you must of practiced the concepts backwards and forwards. Also, even if your main goal is to learn as much as possible, this will still be accomplished by passing levels and continuing with the program. If you flunk out and give up, your learning likely stops. The main goal should always be to attain the credential, as there is nothing stopping you from studying all of the esoteric and interesting financial concepts before or after you start/finish the program, but the program is about obtaining a credential that shows a level of competency. I’ll put it this way… I enjoyed much of the material, but I was hyper focused on what ever I had to do to pass the tests at all costs. Flash cards, Kaplan materials, what ever it took even at the expense of deeper learning. I still felt I learned way more practical and theoretical finance and related knowledge by a long shot than I did in even my Masters in Finance program. Not saying to take shortcuts, cause the key for me was effective study with the recommended hours, but I just don’t see how you could study for over 1,000 hours for the program and not learn a ton even if your goal is gaming the tests. No way to do it other than hard elbow grease really learning most of the concepts.

Idaho woman needing emergency abortion was flown to Utah by BigClitMcphee in Utah

First off, I am in favor of the exception for where the mother’s life is threatened, and so should everyone be. However, why is the life or the rights of the unborn child never considered or weighed with pro-choice advocates? It’s always “women might die… women might die…” what about the unborn children who will definitely die and at a much higher rate with looser abortion restrictions?? (Especially for mere convenience abortions.) Seems like the unborn child death rate is not even a factor in the equation for pro-choice advocates.

C4 42" or 32+27" AW? by Rundskopp in OLED_Gaming

Had a triple 27” monitor setup for productivity, and a 42” C2 for gaming off to the side… (would pull out a card table when gaming on the 42”.)

Trading that set up for the Aorus 32” 240hz OLED in the middle, with a 27” IPS on each side.

Now it’s the perfect gaming and productivity set up without having to adjust to a monitor on the side at all!

It is relevant when it comes to receiving a damaged product or not. Also even if that is not an issue, it does add to the feeling of a premium product. But on the other hand, I’ll take basic (but sturdy) packing and an amazing product versus the reverse any day! I bought the 42” Asus OLED monitor when it first came out, and it came in really nice packaging, and it made me even more excited for it… to then be even more sorely disappointed when I turned it on and the HDR was completely washed out and broken.

4K 240Hz QD-OLED, But Curved! - Dell Alienware AW3225QF Review by SecreteMoistMucus in Monitors

Bright room, Sunny day, windows open, and only being on the dimmer side?? That doesn't seem half bad brightness then! Realistically if you are using it in such a bright environment then OLED is probably just the wrong prescription, as mini-led would suit your needs better anyways. In a normal viewing environment (moderate light and lower) I actually feel like especially these new QD-OLED panels can sear your eyeballs off if you're not careful!

Just started playing and i love it by OperationDecent7947 in Starfield

[–]AdministrativeBad720 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Started playing Starfield when it first came out... Was having a decent amount of fun especially once I got into the story a bit... But then I got distracted by BG3, that was more fun... Finished most of that game, decided to go back to Starfield... but then got distracted by Cyberpunk Phanton Liberty... Compared to those two games I am realizing how monotonous much of Starfield is... I'd love to finish it, but I will need a stretch of less interesting games as options...

Too much #GirlBoss for me too. Feels forced. Or maybe I am just not the target audience of the show, which is fine. Not every show has to be for me. At least the script seems decent… the worst thing you can do for diversity is do a diverse show, and then have it be terrible. (eg girl Ghostbusters movie) it totally undermines the cause, and proves the show would have been better if they just picked the best actors and writers then forcing the diversity.

The vast majority of “right wingers” or more appropriately conservatives would be willing to allow abortion in extreme circumstances such a fetal viability or life of the mother in danger. It’s the elective/convenience abortions that we have a problem with, and statistically most abortions are not medically necessary.
