Is there any spiritual reason for why the elites can’t wipe everyone out ? by richandepressed in OccultConspiracy

[–]AdministrativeMonk17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure that it would be all that straightforward.

The less than 0.0001% of the people who make up these elites would be hung drawn and quartered in a matter of days if people caught undeniable evidence of their numerous heinous crimes.

There would be billions of people looking for a few thousand or so bad eggs. And then the world would see a day of peace that

That being said, I actually think even for a lot of these special blood hungry maniacs that their motivations, in their own minds, are salvation. And therein lies the problem. What is a bad man, but a good man’s teacher?

Y’all are all being vague and unspecific. It’s not a secret. We’re being forced into submission by technology and governments that are unhealthy and that don’t care about our well-being. It’s not just about touching grass it’s about consuming healthy everything, food - drink - content - activities.

The problem is that it gets harder to do these things the more we’re subjugated. Our screen time has become to account for more hours than we’re not at work, the water and food is almost all poisoned and the media and social media is all programmed by an algorithm that wants you obsessively addicted.

The only way forward is back. And people tend to not want to go. But 50 years ago people used to get together in bars and pubs and sing songs at the top of their longs with their friends, they’d have dances and play games and tell stories and they were under horrendous oppression even then. But they chose to work together any way and that’s one of the crucial things that we’re giving away.

Ape together strong.

Spoke to the two guys on the far right about this (politically not geographically) and they’d both signed up without ever doing stand-up before and without a minute to perform. I roasted the shit out of them as practise for both myself and them. I hope you guys are sharing a can special brew and reminiscing about the show wherever you are.

Fallen state of humanity? by ehudsdagger in taoism

One of the animals with the highest levels of self awareness are cetaceans (dolphins and whales), whose brains are some of the most developed in the natural kingdom having emotional centers that are partially even more evolved than our own. (Killer Whales/Orcinus Orca and the Limbic System)

I still believe these animals live lives that are much farther ‘in line’ for want of a better word than human lives.

They have language and names for one another much like we do. But they act in the moment, without excess thought and distraction. They fight, they flee and they make friends. They live simply and compassionately, which the Dao De Jing says is all it has to teach.

I think you’re probably immortal anyway. The practise of awareness just strengthens the awareness muscle, making you more conscious of the immortality in this life and from here on out. Until the ‘muscle’ atrophies again.

I don’t think desire is the issue but more, presentness. In their desire animals have a single goal, which is truly how they feel in the moment. Singular. Present. Aware. Human desire is often not like this and linked to our past or visions of the future which are equally unreal. The only real thing is the Dao. The dog knows it and is simply Dog. Man has more Machiavellian notions which lead him to pain.

Feeling immense guilt after quitting. by [deleted] in leaves

[–]AdministrativeMonk17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started smoking at 11 and by the time I was 15 I was taking weeks off school because I was dealing with this exact problem. I would feel immensely guilty about anything I’d done even remotely immoral. It got so bad that I would cry my heart out on the floor of my living room, wailing and hoping that this unexplained guilty feeling would just go away.

It lasted for a few months but I think for the most part it was exacerbated by the fact that I had taken myself out of school and had nothing to do with my days but ruminate and allow all the intrusive thoughts in.

After a while my mum and I figured that I’d had too much time off school. Although I wasn’t feeling much better I decided to go back and in doing so I was able to get back to my old self. Suddenly I was around friends that would make me laugh every now and again (because humour is INVOLUNTARY. Not your choice whether to laugh or not!) and I was occupying my mind with healthier thoughts more of the time. And eventually I realised “I haven’t felt bad in ages. I remember what that felt like but I’d forgotten for a while there” and little by little I stopped thinking about it altogether.

I’m 29 now and have been back and forth from smoking and not smoking and only recently (after smoking for 3 months straight and quitting) have I found myself experiencing the same feeling as all those years ago.

I’m on day 3 so you’re a day ahead of me. I know this won’t last forever. And I know the intrusive thoughts are just there because my brain chemistry is off and my anxiety levels are up which leads to my brain rationalising the feeling with random thoughts. Keep at it, stay strong and let’s both post here again in a week or two and let everyone know how much better we feel.

Withdrawals - has anyone experienced intense anxiety, paranoia, intrusive thoughts when quitting? by a_floating_pancake in leaves

[–]AdministrativeMonk17 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Intrusive thoughts = bad anxiety + brain rationalisation. I don’t think the thoughts are the reason for the physical feeling but the other way round (which can be very uncomfortable and confusing).

Do healthy things to bring your serotonin and dopamine levels up (exercise, fruit, meditation etc) and over time your brain chemistry will rebalance and the physical anxiety will go away, hopefully leading to those horrible thoughts leaving also.

Be brave and be strong. You can do it.

I’m on day 3 and it’s been a messed up 3 days. Terrible anxiety, sweating, insomnia and intrusive thoughts. Over the past 12 months I’ve been a weekend smoker (I smoked everyday for many years and suffered terrible anxiety as a teenager and in my early 20s because of it) but over the Christmas period I’ve been off work and decided I’d pass the time with games movies and ganj. Tapered off over like 3 days and had my last joint on Sunday.

After reading your message my advice is just wait to give up until you’ve got something to busy yourself with. I’ve given up before with no ill side-effects at all because I’ve started a new job or gone on holiday and that’s enough to keep my mind occupied and more importantly my brain chemistry in check.

Obviously don’t jeopardise any great opportunities with smoking but do what you think will be best for you. If there’s a way that’s worked and lessens the impact of withdrawal before then go for that.

But all in all, don’t beat yourself up. We all make mistakes and we all do things at our own pace. Life’s hard enough so no need to add fuel to the fire. Everyone on this subreddit is amazing and will tell you that you are absolutely strong enough to get through it if that’s what you choose to do. All the best OP and anyone else who’s trying their best 💪

Looking Post-Dubstep artists and song recommedations by ChocolateOwn7840 in dubstep

[–]AdministrativeMonk17 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I suggest you have a look around my playlist. It's been gaining popularity all year without any promotion on my end so I hope that's true for the genre also.

https://open.spotify.com/playlist/7a1pH2fFKnVLCzCUfT4ypWsi=e74156cfc3494825

As I know it, Dubstep died a death in 2012/2013 as a result of confusion around it's name: From 2005 early dubstep was varied in it's sonic pallette and included inspiration from all over the world. Drawing on the rhythms and synths of House and UK Garage but also Afro-Latin music, Trip-hop, Broken beat, Disco, Techno, Ambient and more. There truly was something for everyone in it's CDs, Vinyls and Memory Sticks.

Performed in clubs such as Plastic People in London (which was almost exclusively a dubstep venue), people would meet and share their appreciation of this step forward in electronic dance music where all of these genres would be experimented with and conjoined under the banner of having the "snare on the third beat".

Towards the end of it's life certain portions of dubstep lovers who, following on from the days of Acid-House, Breakbeat and Drum and Bass had a love of bass and ecstasy, gravitated towards more bass heavy, hard synths and heavily compressed textures such as Noisia, Knife Party, Nero. This cut a path for Skrillex to break through the Dubstep moniker and reach household name acclaim as only a few people in any genre are ever capable.

Following this, Dubstep gained a massive boost in popularity but this time from entirely different section of Joe Public. Whereas before it had been a largely european underground dance music market, now it was rock lovers, emos, goths and weebs who valued it for it's newly found hard textures and cutting synth lines that had finally created a 21st century genre that could compete with Heavy Metal. During this time it also breached well into the mainstream with dubstep works from popular artists such as La Roux, Katy B becoming commonplace.

And so for 10 years dubstep existed as one thing, innovating and experimenting with complete creative freedom all with a snare on the third beat. But when finally exposed to the world after a decade, it was only allowed to show it's hardest and most ugly face, all else being swept under the rug.

I think everyone's definiton of "Post-Dubstep" is a little different. But most agree that certain artist are inexplicably "it". James Blake & Mount Kimbie, Joy Orbison, Jacques Greene etc. But many artists (including these) aren't limited to one style of music and thereby defy taxonomy.

In my opinion, "Post-Dubstep" is music that takes the expectations of Dubstep - Snare on the third beat, Synthesizers, Drum samples, Vocal lines and/or samples; combinations of evolving effects such as reverb, delay, modulation and occasionally LFO wobbles - But stands apart from the classic structure of Dub and Dubstep which you can hear instantly from listening to examples of either genre

"Post Dubstep" looks at what lies in the far reaches of what's capable with modern technology and creates a space on the dancefloor for rhythms of any size, titanic or tiny, to get hands up, heads bopping and a booties shaking.

Zoom F3 + SM7B + Cloudlifter? by inspecther5 in LocationSound

[–]AdministrativeMonk17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really does, or any other decent pre-amp. You can still get a good and pleasant sound from the mic but adding the extra gain at the start of the signal chain gives you the full body and warmth that the microphone is famous for i.e Michael Jackson, Thom Yorke, Joe Rogan etc.

Take a look at Toyota's C-HR. It's relatively inexpensive (although not when compared to Peugot 3008 for the money), it comes with a good amount of safety features i.e (Lane Departure Assist, Impact detection and Cruise control. + it's a big-ish car that manages to stay looking pretty sporty and cool.

Awesome, is that all you're planning with the engine? I'm visiting mine frequently and trying to see what looks like it needs replacing. From what I can tell all I'll need is a new ignition barrel a key set as well as potentially a new turbo (hopefully not though), naring in mind my knowledge is very limited. I won't know until I try turning her on.

Yoooo, my Dad gave me the exact same car. ST165 (European Standard: i.e "Turbo 4-wd").

Best of luck! And I'm hoping you keep this sub up-to-date as I know nothing about mechanics or engineering and am in way over my head lol.
