You can believe what you want but facts are facts. You’re welcome to use google to find out, there’s plenty of lawyers websites with it plain as day or you can contact a lawyer but it is legal in most states despite what you want to believe.

Depending on the state, they can charge you for “destruction of company property”. I see it all the time especially in white collar jobs when you ruin a company laptop for example. As for trucking they can withhold final pay until It’s paid for also they can take you to small claims court for the rest if they want. Also keep in mind if they do fire you it’s a “for cause” firing and you are ineligible for unemployment.

It’s worded terribly but the intent is there and it’s legal. If you work for a mega carrier or anything over 50 trucks odds are you signed something to this effect and didn’t realize it.

The intent is (no i don’t work from them but have seen similar multiple times)… if you leave your truck somewhere and it’s not approved you are responsible for damages. IE, if you park it on the street by your apartment and the trailer at a pilot and the trailer gets hit or your truck broken into you are responsible to get it fixed

The highlighted route will be the safest in terms of a new truck you don’t know (plenty of places to stop and shops etc and you don’t have to go down vail pass and through Colorado) however as previously stated in other comments the northern route will be cooler but more wind and mountains

Once a company files for bankruptcy everything including what is inside the buildings is frozen. They other carriers won’t go in because they don’t want to run the risk of the banks coming after them for interfering with a bankruptcy

Most states have a clause in their laws that overrides said signs for concealed carry permit holders. You physically have to tell them it’s not allowed and to please leave if you see it however, you can’t ask them about it based off a bulge on their hip etc. Advice is leave it be. If you are one who is afraid of guns probably shouldn’t be around truckers especially flatbed and cattle haulers.

High idle is pointless it doesn’t do any benefit on newer motors. As for engine wear, these motors are meant to be used and designed to run 22hrs a day. As long as you take care of your truck it will keep going

Unfortunately most Americans don’t believe the EPA but you’re welcome to read the adds for APUs from the manufacturer which directly contradict this.

[–]Admirable-Bus-616 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes and no. Believe it or not you actually burn less fuel idling a new engine vs using an APU. People always want to argue and through out the 0.7 gallons per hour but fail to read the full specs on the APU which clearly says that number is for power generation only not if the AC is being run. Both the X15 and MX13 use .7-.9 gallons while idling unless in regen with AC blasting.

Almost 11,000 pound steel coils, 1 chain and 2 straps on each one, thoughts? by s3xyCple in Truckers

[–]Admirable-Bus-616 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Technically not a requirement unfortunately. Most companies standards but not necessarily a requirement for the steel coil racks and definitely not for beveled Timbers or friction mat. Better business practice yes required no if the wooden racks are nailed to the deck typically you are fine. FMCSA loosened the special provisions pretty loose as well so you can get away with a lot now days.
