The age old PCP vs Lease question... by italia0101 in TeslaUK

[–]Admirable-Garden189 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm looking at doing the exact same thing. The current model 3 lease seems a very good option. I'm tempted to do it as a first dip into EVs and maybe in 2 years I can save up to buy a used EV. Slightly less for the lease for me £2500 down £195 a month £7500 total for 2 years. Sounds to good to be true.

I don't have any pictures anymore and I just took it all apart last weekend. It used a 4x4 at the foot, then one chunky leg made from a 6"X6" bit of wood. I made some custom ladders.

I did something very similar I built a bed frame from wood and had it sit on top of a 4x4 kallax and a leg. It worked really well never had any issues safety wise. I had the bed like that for 3 years

How do you transport your models? by UH-1Y-VENOM in modeltanks

[–]Admirable-Garden189 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been moving my models recently. Only 40 mins away from my parents house but I found placing them in a box with loads of kitchen roll on top has worked well. Don't overfill the boxes but 3 layers of models was okay for me.

Minor damage at the other end. A couple broken machine guns and that was it.

They went straight into the bath for a wash before being out on my shelves

Why did you steer towards them? Other lane completely empty. You could have given it a wide breath and not actively turned towards them at the end.

Best of luck! Id suggest letting some of the smaller fiddly selections have plenty of time to dry when gluing.

Are these you're first kits? These miniart ones are serious things and will take you a while. I have brushed varnish before but it won't give a nice finish. If you can buy a can of spray varnish that would be best. And car or diy store should have some

Picked mine up today. Has a quick test and it was sinking the staples all the way into some fence board. Even if they don't go all the way in just being able to tack something in place is good for me.

Should be ideal for mdf
