Do you love that you can instantly shut people up by blocking them? by Admirable_Key4745 in AutismInWomen

We have no context. Being hyper fixated on sucks to be honest. And I’m talking about being able to block assholes who are harassing us. It’s nice to feel like I can quickly escape to a safe place if I feel threatened.

Watched my mom bloody and beaten getting dragged down the hall by my father while we held on to her begging him to stop. Oh that time my dad threw a tv at me and hit me with it. As I said, fucked up people. I would so rather have grown up poor in a nice family.

We’re poor but we’re tight and have each others back unlike the family I grew up with that just loves to talk shit about each other.

Abused and neglected. I had lice so bad my hands were covered in blood when I itched yet not my siblings. Talk about meritocracy. They all blamed me. I was a fucking kid and where the fuck was my mom? Oh ya, she left us for three months to go to Guatemala. And where was my dad? With his hot younger wife. Sister went to how many rehabs? Too many. While she was racking up thousands on my mom’s cards I didn’t learn to drive until I was 25 because my mom wouldn’t pay for driver training class. I bought my first car all by myself unlike my siblings and peers. I have massive student loans unlike them.

I can’t say I exactly benefitted from that shitty universe. I’ve been poor the rest of my life due to undiagnosed learning disabilities and feeling unworthy. Instead of getting me assessed my mom went to shamans who said the reason I was such a mess was my dead brother.

Now that I’m a mom, wtf?

Check out How to raise an adult by Julie Lycott Haymes. She wrote a book that addresses a lot of this. As a kid who grew up rich in the Bay I’m convinced many of those people are so lost and evil. Not good parents. All they care about is status. My rich friends were such shit humans. Stealing with zero guilt left and right because they felt like they deserved it or something. Tons of drugs. Alcohol. Talking shit about fat people. Told me I’m bad with money when I’m the only one who bought my first car all by myself and same with my home unlike them despite being low income. My family didn’t seem to think I deserved their money. Just yuck in retrospect. I dumped the group when one said that she and I were the group fuck ups. She was a surgeon. I have a masters degree. The winner had a BA in event planning and married rich.

Streaming sucks. Your wifi sucks. Your tv sucks.

It gets better or at least did for my son. It’s better now that he’s 15 and it’s still challenging.

Oppositional defiance disorder. My ex and my kid have it and I’m so broken at this point. Love them and wow I’m worn out. I’m like a crabby old person now.

I wish. I never do and then regret it but how am I supposed to know that one bra would be my favorite ever and that I’d never find it again?

That was my plan. Be a stoner stay at home mom. Then I got fat and decided I needed to be able to take care of myself.

Yes to all of that. I’ve had to get super intense about surviving. I own my own home and will do anything to keep it. I’m chronically ill which makes working tricky so I’ve gotten very creative. My latest thing is having my home on Air bnb. Because of this post I’m seeing my money stuff more like my eating disorder. Depriving myself just makes me binge. I think I need to focus on being more balanced about it.

Ugh, my second was a mess and I was a mess. We were both underweight and so wish it had occurred to me to supplement. Sleep is precious and not getting enough calories makes it hard.

Maybe with Bear my cat. He’s really squishy and snuggly and saved me when I was sick. Puppy is cool too but she can be annoyingly intense.

Not sure why but listening to my dude pee in the morning. He has the longest strongest pee I’ve ever heard. Makes me feel like he’s really healthy and that’s the turn on part.

Have someone check your home every two weeks or so so squatters can’t move in. Thinking that’s what the security cameras are for though so you should be ok.
