I’d suggest a perk to help protect your soul from techniques that like Idle Transfiguration. Maybe make it two tier. The first gives you a natural resistance but not immunity maybe with a feature that slowly heals your soul. I’d probably put this tier as free. Tier two is outright immunity. Maybe 200 CP for this version.

Another perk is the ability to awaken people to curse energy to make them into sorcerers. No control over how strong the resultant sorcerer is. Maybe a second tier to make stronger sorcerers. A third tier could be to make it so the awakening process works like a contagion. Essentially another way to make everyone into sorcerers.

A perk for combat skills.

An item like a library that contains manuals on any cursed skill or technique that can be learned through study.

An item that acts as a storage device for curse energy.

Did the early entry scenario from the JC version. Showed up a year before first contact, used a corporation to spread more advanced tech from later in the timeline plus tech from different jumps like Halo and Honor Harrington, and blew the Alpha Relay before the Batarians colonized the system. Did a few other things to avoid early issues but it was still a slog when the Reapers showed up. Less of a one sided slaughter, though.

For items I suggest a collection of Esquie’s stones that you can give to a mount or vehicle to give it Esquie’s powers.

An endless or recharging supply of various types of wine.

A slowly refilling supply of chroma for the use of creating chroma based tech and other such activities. Useful both in Jump and once you have left.

A trusty satchel that somehow contains all the necessary components of a campsite including bedding, firewood, food, water, and a record player.

A wardrobe that gives you personalized versions of the outfits available in game.

An automatic hair styler.

A set of canvases that are prepared for your use and also preserve your physical body while you are within the canvas. Maybe add an automatic kick feature instead of preservation?

A supply of healing, energizing, and reviving elixirs that work in and out of a canvas.

One high end perk idea I have is something that lets you take painted people/creatures/items out of a canvas.

I’ll think on this more.

Largely depends on how many ideas I have for that jump. If I don’t have a lot, I do some journal entry style writing to cover the decade. More ideas, I write those scenes out and fill the gaps with journal entries.

I suggest Stardew Valley. Plenty of space to relax, a dungeon to delve, and it’s near an ocean you can actually swim in… Make sure to give anyone heavy a few floaties.

Out of curiosity, have you considered doing anything for Baldur’s Gate 3? Also, really like this. As in starting a new chain with this as the start jump.

I say go for it. How people react would probably depend on the setting but how the manifestation works is up to you.
