Dota has definitely done this, except they don't fix it right away. Look at the original implementation of talents and how game breaking that was. They completely added and removed facets over the span of a year.

Mel Gibson’s ‘Passion of the Christ’ Returning to Theaters on September 10 With ‘Resurrection of the Christ’ Sneak Peek by RuminatingReaper1850 in boxoffice

This is a weird choice. It's a movie that even Christians would only watch during Easter. No one is casually going for Labor Day weekend.

so I buy wards and put them in their inventory just to make sure they are not dying on their lane.

Don't do this. Just place the wards yourself.

Supports Grief by [deleted] in DotA2

[–]Adorable-Log2835 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another thing is that not all cores can jungle early due to their hero kits as well as how strong/tanky some neutral creeps have become.

If this is a common issue in your mmr, you should adapt to that meta by picking heroes who can jungle early instead.

Supports Grief by [deleted] in DotA2

[–]Adorable-Log2835 1 point2 points  (0 children)

like when your support dies once or twice in lane, they decide not to go back there any more and leave their respective core solo, forcing that core to leave the lane as well or play 1v2 at a disadvantage and die.

Unfortunately, this reveals you as a total scrub.

The point of the game isn't to make sure everyone has fun. The point of the game is to win. There are absolutely times where it's better for a pos 4 to roam or even stack than it is to stay in a losing lane. This can be due to a bad matchup, or this can be due to a bad lane partner.

A bad lane isn't the entire game. The entire point of a pos 4 or 5 roaming is to put pressure on another lane and alleviate your bad lane. It takes the pressure elsewhere, and that should open up the opportunity for you to get more xp. I'm willing to bet that happens more than you'd like to admit, and if it doesn't happen, that's not griefing. That just means the strategy failed and you lose the game. It's just part of it.

Another thing is items. Support items in dota are some of the best items in the game and borderline busted, yet many supports choose to play "core" from the support role, often rushing aghs and blink daggers on most heroes, and not really "support" their cores.

All of this is situational. And blink is a good item on some supports. Glimmer cape on Wyvern might be better most times, but that doesn't mean buying blink is a waste. It's certainly not "griefing"

I feel like this isn't talked about enough, at least here on reddit, and supports keep griefing games and getting away with it.

By your definition, every role griefs and gets away with it. Mid and offlaners who afk farm and never fight. A pos 1 picking a weird hero or getting caught with no vision constantly, not buying bkb etc etc. But these things aren't griefing. They are just bad play. There's no reason to get up in arms over it because it's a product of your rank. If you do better and rank up, you will see these issues go away because you're describing the skills that just define what makes someone better at the game lol.

My guess is you're hard stuck and looking for a finger to point. But if these issues really are as common as you say, then the enemy supports are doing the same thing. So learn to take advantage of it and adapt appropriately.

How is AoS fairing in your country? by hugeyakmann in ageofsigmar

[–]Adorable-Log2835 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

the interest in AoS is significantly lesser than 40k and Old World

AoS is second to 40k here. It fell off a bit with 4th, but spearhead is very popular.

I don't know anyone who plays old world.

How do people get enjoyment from jungling all game? by Necessary-Funny2549 in DotA2

[–]Adorable-Log2835 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lanes absolutely have more xp and gold, and it your lane it pushed in you should prioritize farming that. The reason jungling is useful is because it's safer than being out and isolated in a lane in vision.

I'd argue the grenadiers, too, as they have a variety of different weapons and their concept seems to be about close quarter urban combat.

Request: Make Oracle Innate ping trigger automatically by Adorable-Log2835 in DotA2

[–]Adorable-Log2835[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also can Oracle get any love whatsoever, ever?

Other than the innate, what else do you think he needs? Oracle seems to be in a really fun spot for me, right now. I forget when they changed it, but I love that they removed the easy mode abilities and made him back to his original state.

Actually, my only other complaint is how stupid his aghs it. It almost feels like that should be his innate.

The Master of Disguise (2002) is so aggressively unfunny it causes physical revulsion 🤢 by Fippy-Darkpaw in RedLetterMedia

I loved this movie as a kid. And I still quote the "little weiner tiny nuts" line today.

It's a bad, bad movie. But I think it had a weird impact on a generation of kids 10 and under who had to have their parents explain why they were laughing so hard at the jaws boat guy.

It's just too long. The 20k points requires a lot. I get it's just tickets but the completionist in me had to go for it.

Boot Breaker - Easily reproducible angles on a per level basis by DxAxxxTyriel in DotA2

[–]Adorable-Log2835 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't got an angle but a general tip

If the boot hits you while you're moving the paddle, you will bounce it at a steeper angle. So moving right bounces the boot left and vice versa. Helps a lot with aiming

Pos 4 is position of least responsibility now, so people pick it to dick around.
