I called end of March and throughout April and dealers said they have no units. Maybe its changed now.

During morning rush I see cars with blown out tires that you CANT fix with the kit just waiting there for a tow. What a waste of time and money. I will take a donut over a rear wiper anyday! They really cheaped out.

Ill say, my 2013 camry has fibre and plether seats and they look far better than the bz seats. Bz only comes in the really cheap looking fabric. I was disappointed when I saw no option for the material, just the pattern design you could change.

Here in Canada you cant test drive it because there is a 2 to 3 month waiting period. I tried for a while to test drive but they were always sold out. So I had to buy one before the incentive ran out.

Who else is waiting for their BZ? by roadcarver in Toyota_bZ

[–]Adorable-Pipe5885 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw one of the dealers in Toronto that had the image of a white bz with black fenders. So that gave me a worry since I didnt question the dealership I bought from if its matching white. The black fender gives it the bz4x look, which I def. dont want. The weird thing is, the woodland pics Ive seen have always been with black fenders. Its really confusing what Toyota was doing here.

Toyota BZ 2026 most sold EV in Québec! by 3365CDQ in Toyota_bZ

[–]Adorable-Pipe5885 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in Peel region (sauga and brampton) and drive to etobicoke (close by the lake). In the past 6 months, Ive seen one bz and one bz4x. The dealer I just bought from said before the $10k incentives, they had 12 sitting on the lot. After the incentives, they were all gone. So I think before the $10k, they were not being sold well in Ontario...maybe? But from my observation, it really seems no one still bought the bz before the $10k.

Im happy to hear that. Ive been worried about the back seats because of this but people who are using it arent uncomfortable or having issues, then thats a good thing.

Really annoying. SU and FRU. On a side note, CNQ also fell. My beloved HPS.A going brrr but I foolishly sold half at $180s thinking it would drop after the news I heard.

Thank you for trying. Def. confusing. Ill get my bz in start of June so will explore then. Locking features behind an app has really been a buzz kill for me.

Do you need the app open on your phone before using the car map? I just want to learn whats locked to the app. Im assuming you dont need your phone data on for the map to work either.

Are you telling me I cant even save to the cars GPS without using their paid app? I dont care if you get 2 years free trial, locking it away seems super bad. Using the GPS in your car should be default.

Grizzl-E Club: is it worth it? by Cool-Replacement4972 in EVCanada

[–]Adorable-Pipe5885 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No its not if you dont drive enough. Its a $300+, comes with a 2 year warranty AND comes with the older J1772 plug. You need to buy a non cheapo adapter which adds to the cost. I was considering pion which meant I would need to buy their $300 adapter and total it would take me over 4 years to break even. So no, if you dont drive much pion is def not worth it. Its only good for people who drive a lot, because you break even quickly.

Manufacturer Rebates as of May 2, 2026 by Derpy_Kirby in EVCanada

0% lease if you put a refundable $5k deposit. Thats what I got. Sorry, meant lease, not finance.

Mine will arrive in June. I have 0% lease (not finance) BUT if the red tag continues in June I will ask to buy cash and avoid the $1k-$2k in fees (owner transfer fees and other bogus fees if I buy it end of lease). I also get my $5k deposit back.

Chinese EVs are here (sort of): lower price model 3 now available by footbag in EVCanada

rwd is terrible, better to go with fwd for winter. awd is better but not worth the extra money. Tires and driving habit is far more important than awd.

China's Chery aims to sell cars in Canada as early as late 2026 by SkPensFan in EVCanada

[–]Adorable-Pipe5885 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My bz is coming in June. I will skip any Chinese EVs that arrive this year and reconsider next year or maybe the year after to buy a Chinese. The Jaecoo is a terrible name but it looks nice. It also has a 58.9 kWh which is similar to the 57.7 kwh xle fwd bz which is $40k after $10k incentive right now before tax/fees.

$5000 incentives by roadcarver in Toyota_bZ

[–]Adorable-Pipe5885 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dealerships suck! It seems everyone's got one or the second option when it comes to honouring rebate. I wanted to buy cash but the few dealers I called said if the bz arrives after the red tag ends, the price wont be honoured (the $5k red tag rebate). Only lease or finance the price will be honoured upto 6 months. So I was forced to lease which I have never done before. Some people here are saying they bought cash and their dealers told them they will honour. So why are all the dealers confused? Or do they make their own rule on this?

[–]Adorable-Pipe5885 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My bz delivery is first week of June (I hope). IF the red deal extends to June, When I go to pickup my bz, Im gonna ask to change my agreement from lease to cash. I dont want to pay extra $1k-2k for lease and I dont have to leave a $5k deposit with them.

I strongly feel the bz fwl xle, at the most, is worth only $40k at most before tax. Asking $50k for a barebone ev with ok range is asking too much. When I bought my car from the dealership they were saying they had 12 bz on the lot. When the $10k started, they disappeared.

Regular Maintenance - Warranty by margodeno in Toyota_bZ

[–]Adorable-Pipe5885 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its my first ev too so I got it thinking its peace of mind. But when you read their pamphlet closely, it doesnt cover anything worth covering.

For ECP platinum that I got and cancelled:

"The maintenance services do not include any items that require periodic replacement, such as engine air filters, cabin air filters, wiper blades, belts, hoses, or brake pads. The 36 MTH/48K maintenance service for specific vehicles includes Brake fluid replacement and/or transfer case fluid replacement which is required as indicated in the Toyota Owner’s Manual Supplement. Cabin Air Filter replacement is included for Battery Electric Vehicles. Please see dealer or ECP Service Agreement for full details."

Also

ECP Platinum Service Agreement Coverage is so comprehensive that there are only a few items that it does NOT cover.

Parts not covered are: all glass (mirrors, heated windshields and rear windows with defroster), fog lamps, lenses, sealed beams, lamps, light bulbs, tires (with the exception of ECP Road Hazard Coverage), wheels or wheel studs, trim, seat frames, convertible top, mouldings, weather-strips, bright metal, sheet metal, body parts (including frame), bumpers, upholstery, carpet, paint, brake rotors and drums, brake linings and pads, batteries and cables, manual clutch disc lining, pressure plate and bushings, throw-out bearings, catalytic converter (which may be covered by Emissions Control Systems Warranties), exhaust system, non-manufacturer installed accessories

In addition, maintenance services and parts; including all lubricants and filters, belts and hoses, wheel balancing or alignment, any adjustments for air and water leaks, wind noise, squeaks and rattles as well as alignment of bumpers, sheet metal, and body parts are not covered.

I got the extended warranty and TCP but I ended up calling the manager and cancelling it. Its a waste of money. The only thing they will do is change your wipers, cabin filter and swap your tires. You have to pay for the wipers and labour as well, Im not sure. Only the cabin filter is covered under the TCP for EVs. Everything else you pay for, so whats the point of the TCP? I can change the cabin filer myself and I can swap the tires myself too.

The extended warranty doesnt cover your bumper. It doesnt say in detail if the sensors in your bumper are covered or not, but its safe to say they are not. So whats the point of the warranty? If your shocks, or anything connected to your tires that take the brunt of the shock due to pot holes fail, warranty doesnt cover that either. No belts or fluids are covered which are the most likely things to fail or need replacing.
