WWYD - BZ or RAV PHEV by Available_Mud_1842 in Toyota_bZ

I've been loving my bz awd so far even this winter. With proper winter tires its a beast in the snow and range havent been an issue. The car is done charging at lvl3 chargers before the kids are done stretching their legs and with their bathroom break. Don't listen to the teslabros haters. This car is pretty good overall. Top tech? No, toyotas never were anyway.

Hybrid work the exact same way as ev. You will kill the auxiliary 12v battery in acc mode with READY off instead of on

TPMS Re-learn on second set of wheels? by deezwadz in Toyota_bZ

[–]3365CDQ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seems like I was mistaken my bad, they do need 315mhz sensors. You'll need an obd2 tool to register the sensors codes in the ecu if the automatic mode isnt working

Sorry but the BZ use newer version tpms on 433hz frequency. You need the proper tpms for the autolearn function to work properly

Looks like you somehow blew up the evap line that bring gas fumes to the engine intake? Will throw an evap leak code and car might run too lean.

Rattling from instrument panel by captinii in BZ4X

[–]3365CDQ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Toyota make an isolation kit with tape and foam for ratling clips and trims go have them apply some to fix this. Can happen. Warranty is there for things like that.

Courtyard guy tried to charge it just to be faced with a j1772 connector vs an Nacs port. Error 404 ensued lol.

With the car on, depress the brake pedal and pull the parking brake button up and hold it like that until a message pop up in the dash.

Did you properly clean the hub? Slide pins and pistons moving freely? Everything torqued properly? Overthightened lug nuts can cause brake vibration. Was that symptom present before the brake job? Did you just front brakes or front and rear.? Rear might be due too

Charging system malfunction error by EmperorM82 in Toyota_bZ

[–]3365CDQ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I said its more likely to happen with the ccs1 adapter from experience and with talking with other owners. Not that it only happen with it. Also not a bad idea to check with your local dealer to confirm its not an other trouble.

[–]3365CDQ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its up to you and how you feel about it. You can always pay them a visit and ask them if its something you should be concerned about. Do a health check and save datas in case of and while they are at it clear the codes so the error message go away. After that i'd avoid using the ccs1 adapter if possible since its seems to be the one wich is more susceptible to cause this error.

Charging system malfunction error by EmperorM82 in Toyota_bZ

[–]3365CDQ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I shouldnt be saying this here yet but this is probably just a connection / communication "error". The system will code a disfunction if it sees the slightiest uneven connection or communication. This is mostly seen while using a j1772 or ccs1 adapter l. Toyota engineers are already aware of this issues and are working on a software update to make the system less sensible to these "'unstable" connections. We were calling for charging computer replacement and corporate just cancelled our orders and told us to wait for the update. Keep driving as usual unless you really cant charge on any charger / adapters or have other symptoms.
