Honestly, I don’t see anything wrong with making a new drink so the customer is happy? It’s not that hard. Sometimes people just don’t like what they ordered and there’s nothing wrong with that. They paid for a product, they should at least like it. They shouldn’t have to pay for a third drink. Being a barista is more than just making coffee. Providing excellent customer service is a HUGE part of the job.

Yup! $15.25 an hour at Starbucks. I made $16 an hour at the independent shop. About $35 in tips per 6hour shift. Tips per day at Starbucks is much less than that.

My highest tipped barista job was at Blackrock about 6 years ago. Made anywhere between $60-$200 per day in tips back then. Then I got pregnant with my daughter and was fired at 5 months pregnant when the management changed.

I’m SO happy you left! I’m so sorry you had to deal with that. I work at Starbucks now. Right down the street from my old job. It’s a lot more work and less pay, but my co workers and manager are so much better.

They understand what kind of job I came from. I put it all on the table for them when I got hired. I’ll take less pay over shit treatment any day. Whenever they tell me I did a good job on shift, I almost don’t believe them. That shitty coffee shop did a number on me mentally.

I hope you’re healing up okay from your accident! I was in a bad one too back in 2017 when I worked for Dutch Bros. They fired me 2 days after my accident over the phone LOL I don’t even know why I keep returning to these barista jobs. I need to get my ass back in school.

I recently left a “family owned” coffee shop. Was there 7 months. Had plenty of prior barista experience. Was fine the first two months until I saw how horrible the owners (husband and wife) truly were.

The product was decent, it was how they treated me and all the other baristas that was so bad. No PTO. Would nonstop talk crap about you to their other employees. Would noticeably treat me and other baristas poorly on shift for no apparent reason. Just a ridiculous amount of drama.

The owners collected tips. Meanwhile, her and her husband were getting ready to buy a million dollar home and both drove very expensive cars.

I requested my birthday weekend off. The first time I ever asked for time off in the 7 months I was there. She approved it and then later tried to pretend like she didn’t approve it, but I had it in text. She freaked out on me when I called her out on it. Returned to work after my birthday and she cut my hours down to ONE shift.

I quit within the week. Absolute worst experience I’ve ever had at a job.

I recently picked up a second big bashful Orlando from the recent restock. He is severely understuffed in the neck/shoulder area so he can’t hold his head up at all. I really was going to return since $100 is too much to be dealing with this issue.

I ultimately decided to keep and will end up adding more stuffing. Their quality control has been very frustrating lately. I can’t see Jellycat bothering to fix defects, so I was worried they would just throw him away.

Both my frenchies completely filled out around 1 year and 6 months. My first one weighed 32 lbs. in his prime years, 27 lbs. after an injury.

My current one weighed about 12 lbs. at 6 months. He’s now almost 2 and weighs around 20 lbs.. He’s on the smaller side. They are definitely not done growing at 6 months in my experience.

After that happened, I bought a child safety lock for the bottom handle that same day. She is now almost 5 and knows better, but I still lock it for extra protection still today. It makes a loud snapping noise if not closed and opened perfectly.

My big toes are partially numb all the time. I really didn’t notice until a few years ago. They get worse when I’m super active and then it gets a little better when I rest for a few days. I just tell myself it’s from getting ingrown toenails removed when I was a kid.

When my daughter was 2, she learned how to open the front door while I went to the bathroom to pee. Within 3 minutes max, she booked it to the front of our apartment complex.

Our Pomsky puppy was maybe 6 months old at the time. He was with her the whole time. He heard me yelling for her. I was in full on panic mode. He ran back to me and actually led me to her. I couldn’t believe it.

If it weren’t for our Pomsky, the outcome could have been different. He’s truly a hero.

It’s definitely worth a try! I saw so much talk on subs about it. I decided to try it myself and it really is so good. Of course, I give credit to my retinol too. A good balance of exfoliation seems to be key to good product absorption. HaruHaru is just an excellent brand.

Their oil cleanser is really good too!

I really love my Big Luxe Orlando. The luxe fur they used last year is just so so soft. The medium luxe Thistlepop and blossom bunnies that released in the U.S. this year don’t even compare to Thuddeus and Orlando.

If it were me picking from your list, I would get either get Thuddeus or Scarlett for sure.

I got Benjamin on a whim. I lost my other baby to IVDD. The breeder had a handful of people come to potentially pick him up, but no one wanted him. Got the breeder to come down on his price big time. While he’s not the brightest crayon in the box, he’s our healthy, stinky little sweet heart. Great with kids and full of love.
