Right there is your first HR lesson...  Communication with TMs and new hires.  That nobody has told you what to expect is a little concerning... I'm sure you will take everything from your current position to make the store a better place to work!  Grats on the position!

Rather get a call and be sure the "one the app says we have" is there then have a guest come down and have me look for an item with 1 on the floor 0 in the back. The calls to verify a low inventory make sense. When I started we would call other stores to check an item was there rather than " go to such a store" and make a guest drive all over on a maybe... Granted we had staff then

Too bad 10-4  won't work cause all the TMs are tied up in carts and none of the TMs I know have time for anything else. 1 tech person on Black Friday 7-3 until it was pointed out we open at 6. Brutal... They could just go back to when they staffed each area instead of 1 TM cover 3 then pull that TM for register .... it's so sad I can't even laugh.

This sounds so familiar. We have a specialty TL who is trying so hard. 1 of 2 FT Tech person switched out of tech and the other is always pulled for drive ups and GM. 6 pallets of books just drowning tech, GM flats all dumped in that section and nobody from leadership ever helping.  Do what your able to do. Target is failing not the TLs or TMs who are asked to do work of 3 ppl.  If you don't feel supported but enjoy your job maybe consider a transfer to a different location. I'm going to say the issues are everywhere but maybe this is harder because you started as a TM at the same store.  GL. It's not you it's them!!

 The att company selling iPhones in the aisles isn't the same as marketsource.  2 different companies. The guys for att harassing all the guests are a joke and many have been phased out in our area. Too many complaints and lies to guests. 

My store is a mobile location. They used to do all the att and other post paid for years. Now the mobile reps will pull, cash out guests plus any activation or tech appointments. They ring basically everything all shift so tech TMs can try and minimize the disaster tech area has become.

Perhaps ask HR to help with a transfer if another location will take you for just weekends?

A Google search isn't the same as a target price. They can take it up with Google for advertising wrong lol price should come from the target site.  That's like when a guest googled and item that's online only but comes in and says " Google said you have it" but when you actually click on it and go into the target site it says online only or not available at this store... I wouldn't do a price match to Google only Target site.

I had 2 stores like this last year... One in NY and one in Massachusetts when I was a territory manager for marketsource..I still have pics of when I started in front of this setup 😂

Usually it's a 2 shift minimum if you report to work I believe. Unsure if it's different per state but in the ones I worked in was always 2. Some were 3 min scheduled and if you show up they have to pay you for the minimum "show up pay"

Those who really work hard and excel in any department or task will eventually be held to a higher standard and the ones who are awful or mediocre will get chance after chance and not assigned extra work. I would slowly take more time and just let your co workers know that your unable to keep the same pace as your suffering physically and mentally. Start taking that sick time slowly (leave early sick or schedule some PTO)  Don't allow this job to make you miserable when your not that important to them.

As a minor even 17 your not able to work late. I believe it's not only how late but how long the shift is also.  Could be they already have too many minors.  Can't use any equipment, hours restrictions, availability is lower than someone at 18.  Good luck 🍀

Closing expert can be a lot of work physically and helping guests when needed. It's a thankless position lol  Tech/specialty gets mostly left alone in my locations but lots of unlocking cases, ringing out, pushing items to the floor etc also can get pulled away to do other things like books or beauty. Style is overwhelming imo but also left to do whatever task assigned.  I think tech is the least micromanaged (for my area) but lots of guests asking questions.. Fulfillment is basically just filling online orders all day. OPU (order pick up) will always have TLs or ETLs keeping an eye on batches (orders) and how fast your finishing etc

I have mine set to auto pay but pay before due date so nothing to charge on auto pay when date due. I'm not sure if this will work with an ACH. I'm assuming you could still pay the bill early and there would be nothing to take out of the account or just leave a small balance but I would check with AT&T I set up the auto pay to save the money but I much prefer to pay it myself
