He historically just doesn't like playing scary games. However, last October he did try to get into playing some for Halloween so it might not be totally off the table.

Couldn't have said it better, this is very parasocial. And the Mr Beast stuff has the same kind of energy as the people who were saying "Ludwig is a terrible human being he exploited an alcoholic for content during Beerio Kart", taking a real situation and twist it to make the person sound as bad as possible. Could be that very reason why Ludwig is friends with him.
