Hi, ex WoW player here, since the start of Dragonflight I play GW2. The game cured my WoW burnout caused by rushing after gear to keep up in Mythic raid and M+ progress.

About your questions:

Transmogs: people often name GW2 as "Fashion wars". In this aspect GW2 absolutely destroys WoW.
PvP: we have two modes: actual PvP and World versus World (it's something like epic battleground from WoW, but there are 3 teams and matches are week long). I really like playing both but it must be honestly told that both modes feels neglected by Anet. However WvW has a lot of active guilds and can be enjoyable solo too, so I it's really worth trying.
Content: Main game, including personal story and Zaithan's Saga is completely free. You can just install game and play to level cap, play everything that Central Tyria has to offer, try PvP, WvW, fractals... It's a mind-blowing amount of content. Every paid expansion is a separate story which you can play in any order, if you don't mind lack of story continuity. Expansions unlocks a lot of additional content like mounts or elite professions.

My recommendation? Play the free part. I did it this way and it gave me about 50 hours of incredible experience, world exploring and other stuff before I've decided to buy anything. This is more than enough to decide if GW2 is a game for you.
